Makes me wonder if:2 top 10 finishes, 4 10+ win seasons, 3 NY6 bowls, a 6-1 bowl record. 2-3 start and all of that means nothing. Just outta there.
This is nuts.
Come on man, everyone of us are fans of the University of Tennessee.Sometimes people might get under our skin but it’s ok.I’ve been questioned about a comment or two that I have made but still love my Vols and I didn’t even go to college.Doesn’t mean I don’t love my team(teams).I love all things related to UT.Season ticket holder and donor for years What else you got ?
My biggest wish would be that fans remember where we were then and where we were expected to be now. We are overachieving to an extent that can't really be rationalized, based on the circumstances and roster.
It's so easy to see the success and get spoiled into thinking this is how it should be. Fact is, we shouldn't be having this type of success so soon. I don't think there is a coaching staff anywhere that could change things so quickly. . . maybe Sabans staff did something similar in his first couple years.
We keep getting better each week. Even our bad games are competitive and have ended with w's recently. I'm probably considered a sunshine pumper, but I think we'll drop some games as we go. Hopefully, if that happens, the fans don't forget that we are just in year 2 and our roster still needs significant improvement on the defensive side. . .
As you wish... need I continue?Again… please show me where in any of my posts that you commented on that I said anything about firing? You continue to put words in my mouth. If you can’t make an argument or comment anything that is about what I spoke about, then do not comment. I said Banks needs to be better, he needs to try something else, we have the 96th ranked defense, those are what I stated.
Is it really ok with everyone that we pay him 1.5 million and have the 96th rated defense? I guess you can’t criticize anything on here.
Let me make this clear I don’t like OSU or Michigan! But Georgia should’ve lost and played bad. Alabama has questions already on offense and now the Qb. Is out. Not just any Qb. the dude that’s saved there butt from many games. OSU is where they are for some reason RIGHT? Doesn’t matter who’ve they played it’s the polls opinion. If the Top teams stay undefeated it want matter what we think. Michigan or OSU will be #1 because they play during the season. Let’s hope Tennessee can pull the upsets and keep winning.Who in the F has Ohio State played?
@SoilVol for the win!As you wish... need I continue?
I definitely didn't put these words in your mouth. Now, technically I didn't comment on these - but when you've continually said he "needs to be gone" and "we need a change there" (literally today) and continue with a string of posts about how terrible you think he is as a coordinator... well then it would be silly to assume you'd want him retained wouldn't it.
"He has the 96th ranked defense" is a biased stat that's been addressed repeatedly. Due to the nature of our offense, opposing offenses put up huge play numbers. Our yards allowed per attempt is above the national median. Our total yards allowed per game will always be high, regardless of who is coaching because everyone gets more possessions.
Two replies in a row you've deflected from my original statements. You actually completely ignored my layout of our talent gap in the secondary to explain our shortcomings. You've chosen to deflect from my pointing out that "play the backup!" is extremely flawed logic with ad hominem. Both of those posts were literally exactly in response to what you're talking about, and saying they don't or ignoring them because they defeat your argument doesn't change that.
So, "if you can't make an argument" then "don't comment." If you want to formulate why you think my logic and data aren't valid, I welcome it. But if you want to keep up the gaslighting and deflecting, I've got the time and receipts.

To be fair to the WM and TB critics, and I am not one of them right now...96th is nowhere near even just mediocre. It is just simply horrible, and hard to defend.Yes…Expectations are already unreal. Criticizing everything as if it should be perfection right now because that’s what we want. The team is outperforming expectations and winning. Instead of appreciating that we need to focus on our weaknesses. Guess we should not be surprised Wisconsin fired their coach at this point in the season. People are not just fans anymore. They demand all their dreams come true. Should I blame ESPN or Disney?
Probably because their QB left the game injured, so there is a chance TN could face a backup QB on Saturday. We all know how Tennessee fares against backup QBs.
I'm all about breaking all the jinxes this year until no one of us believes again in bad luck or hexes, except to ascribe them to others as a prank or psych out.Especially LSU ones

I would never put another fan down….It’s always the ones who think they know more or trying to be a smart arse. Then the buddies come to there rescue and provoke more out of you. If you come at me then your gonna get a dose of reality. I didn’t do college and that doesn’t make a man smarter or better than another. Do I feel blessed yes…Do I think I’m above any other absolutely not ! Sometimes you find yourself making these individuals understand the life of hard knocks. I’m no scholar or good at complete sentencing. What I am good at is working hard, vision, money planning and investments.Come on man, everyone of us are fans of the University of Tennessee.Sometimes people might get under our skin but it’s ok.I’ve been questioned about a comment or two that I have made but still love my Vols and I didn’t even go to college.Doesn’t mean I don’t love my team(teams).I love all things related to UT.
