Good thing we have like 4 4star DBs headed our way. Was hopeful Turrentine would make a splash this year. He’s still young and got time. It’s pretty clear DBs were an emphasis this year. We’ve all seen the limitations of McCullough and Flowers and Burrell through the years. DB is also one of the hardest positions to play. Especially with offenses these days being unreal. It is just what it is…. We are missing our number one corner…. Burrell….. Hadden has potential but is here bc he wasn’t winning a job at Auburn…. Charles has potential but the staff believes that he is more suited to play safety…. The safeties struggle in space and our linebackers struggle against the pass as well…. I think they had played above where they should be this season… They were solid in every game except Florida when Burrell was out and we played more zone…. WM is proven as a DB coach, imo…. Questioning Banks is fair but I feel we should at least wait till we fill up the DB room with quality depth.
Yeah I was hopeful for Turrentine as well but by the end of camp…. It didn’t look he was pushing for time… he still might earn time but that is the risk you take when you take another teams back ups….Good thing we have like 4 4star DBs headed our way. Never had it, but the Bourbon Junkies liked it so I'll give it a try. Of course, I'll never find it but still I would give it a try if I could.Anyone tried this....? Someone gave this to me as a gift.View attachment 496421
Yes…Expectations are already unreal. Criticizing everything as if it should be perfection right now because that’s what we want. The team is outperforming expectations and winning. Instead of appreciating that we need to focus on our weaknesses. Guess we should not be surprised Wisconsin fired their coach at this point in the season. People are not just fans anymore. They demand all their dreams come true. Should I blame ESPN or Disney? My biggest wish would be that fans remember where we were then and where we were expected to be now. We are overachieving to an extent that can't really be rationalized, based on the circumstances and roster.
It's so easy to see the success and get spoiled into thinking this is how it should be. Fact is, we shouldn't be having this type of success so soon. I don't think there is a coaching staff anywhere that could change things so quickly. . . maybe Sabans staff did something similar in his first couple years.
We keep getting better each week. Even our bad games are competitive and have ended with w's recently. I'm probably considered a sunshine pumper, but I think we'll drop some games as we go. Hopefully, if that happens, the fans don't forget that we are just in year 2 and our roster still needs significant improvement on the defensive side. . .
