My oldest starts kid pitch for first time this fall, there’s a kid at 10 throwing curveballs.

Yup. Back when I played there was a 12u team whos coach had them throwing sliders.

Sadly true QB talent is made partly moot by UGA's surrounding talent. Similar to all those meaty okra Bama QBs over the years. Bennett still somehow averaged 10 ypa and a 177 qbr last year, top 5 numbers.

Looks like there was a merge last night. @StoVol originally started the thread. Now the first couple of pages follow a comment from another poster. Guessing he is on your ignore list.

Nevermind...I had to unignore the thread starter, but I don't understand why I could see it yesterday Did you guys change the thread starter?

I would greatly appreciate it if you could change it back to whoever it was that was designated thread starter at first, if not then whatever.

That’s usually a very bad idea for the kid’s arm. Unless the coach is teaching how to throw a curve with the wrist flick motion, it’s too much torque on the elbow. I tried to explain that to an assistant coach who played college baseball, but he and the coach “knew what they were doing. Kid played one more season then quit baseball because of elbow pain. Dumbarses.

Until 13-14, no need for the curve if you have a good 4 seam, 2 seam, and change up. Just the difference in ball movement between 4 and 2 seam and the difference in speed between 4 seam and change up will take care of most batters.

First season of kid pitch is really all about getting the ball over the plate. You will fall asleep waiting for a strike. Walks are gonna be way more common than strikes. Most fun part is stealing bases.

Bull Sharks tend to be fatter around the gill areas. Fished there at Ponce for years.

Also, black tips - you hear about Shark bites.

His name is SoilVol, not SeaVol! I agree about it probably being a bull shark, though. They are all over the east coast of FL. I've swam with them in the water at the St. Augustine pier severL times....pretty aggressive shark.

I thought that I was banned when the quote feature disappeared.
