Sadly true QB talent is made partly moot by UGA's surrounding talent. Similar to all those meaty okra Bama QBs over the years. Bennett still somehow averaged 10 ypa and a 177 qbr last year, top 5 numbers.

Agreed. Kid just wins. Doesn't matter what his "star" rating was or his prospects in the NFL. As for the other positions....and no offense to bass.....I would take UGA's roster at every spot. We simply are not anywhere close to that level yet. Maybe with a couple more really solid classes we can speak to this again. Until then all I'm hoping for is that "on any given day" truism to hold for either/both UF and UGA.

i think you're right. one shot shows the big wide head. my oldest was at isle of palms this week. Monday she sent us a video of a black tip swimming in ankle deep/shin deep water on the beach there. could see both fins....crazy.

i take away 2 things from all of this....
1. that's scary as it is cool as hell.
2. i think this happens a lot more than any of us ever know, and there's some evidence that shows these sharks just aren't all that interested in us if we're not acting like something they'd normally eat.

Driving from Tri-Cities to K-town yesterday.

That’s usually a very bad idea for the kid’s arm. Unless the coach is teaching how to throw a curve with the wrist flick motion, it’s too much torque on the elbow. I tried to explain that to an assistant coach who played college baseball, but he and the coach “knew what they were doing. Kid played one more season then quit baseball because of elbow pain. Dumbarses.

Until 13-14, no need for the curve if you have a good 4 seam, 2 seam, and change up. Just the difference in ball movement between 4 and 2 seam and the difference in speed between 4 seam and change up will take care of most batters.

First season of kid pitch is really all about getting the ball over the plate. You will fall asleep waiting for a strike. Walks are gonna be way more common than strikes. Most fun part is stealing bases.

4 seam, 2 seam, change could get a kid through HS tbh. All about putting the ball where you want to put it.

10 is way too young to be throwing curveballs.

No idea. I suck at shark ID. Even out of the water. This could be multiple species: bull, lemon, sandbar, nurse, etc.

I was thinking about our fan base, our reputations, our loyalty and our willingness to say what we think. We as a group have not been "Happy" since the early 2000's. We watched and complained as we hired and fired one coach after another. We protested when a prick left and cheered when an idiot was axed....3 times. We are loyal to a fault but our VOLS are just that Our VOLS.

We now seem to have people in charge both on and off the field that actually have a clue about what this fan base is.......The Best In The Country. You don't just see Orange when we are good, you will see it all the time. So learn to live with it because the worm has turned and there are other fan bases that know it and can't stand it. Yes today like all days ITS GOOD TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL FAN !!!!
