I mean it was a 10.5 game lead and the Mets blew it. Then they immediately got it back to 7.5 and blew it again lmao. So really it was 2 big leads they blew. NY went to ATL with a 1 game lead, only needed to win 1 game and still got shoved in a locker. There are some collapse ingredients here. Had Max, Jake and Bassit lined up perfectly too.

Was hoping he'd try to go this weekend, I think we would benefit from him even in a limited role...
No point in risking losing Tillman for the season by bringing him back too early. We play 4 top 25 teams over the next five weeks. LSU is by far the worst offense we'll see during that stretch. The likelihood of this becoming a shootout is very low. They have weapons on the outside, but Daniels has been hesitant to throw to them unless they are wide open. We have to limit the number of 3 and outs for our offense. If we manage to score 24 points in the first half and limit them to 10 or less, we win. Kelly will not play as aggressively as Napier because he trusts his defense. He looks at us as being similar to Miss St. This will be his undoing. Miss St. doesn't have a mobile QB to burn you for being too aggressive. We just need to score 31 points to win this game. Hooker is hopefully hitting his stride now. If they punt 4 times or more we win by double digits.

“It’s fairly amazing to see the fact that you can get a player back doing things within three to four weeks sometimes that would typically have taken eight to 12 weeks.”

From the article...still doesn't say 2-3 weeks.

Also:

All of the players have been able to get back in four weeks or less, including Tagovailoa when he returned to play against Oklahoma just 27 days after surgery on his other ankle.

So unless my math is off 27 days is just a day short of 4 weeks.

Akron was on 9/17, assuming Tillman had the surgery on Monday 9/19 he's in week 2 of recovery, but again I don't know what day he had the surgery so just speculating. Either way Bama would be around 4 weeks and the most likely earliest game he would return for.

He would be in week 3 of recovery. You have the Florida week the bye week and now lsu week. If he got it on Monday, week 3 would have started on this Monday. So bama would be 2 days away from the 5th week after surgery

Josh Heupel was 7-5 his first year as OU's QB in 1999, after 12 years of being terrible.

The following year they started 4-0 before their first ranked match in a brutal stretch of 4 games vs #11 Texas. They won that game 63-14.

The following game they faced #2 Kansas State and won 41-31.

The very next game, they faced #1 Nebraska, a team they lost to by a score of 69-7 the last time they played. They won this time, 31-14 to become 7-0 on the year.

Two weeks later, they played and defeated #23 Texas A&M 35-31.

This sounds a whole lot like what's happening at UT right now. Finished last year 7-5 in the regular season. Start this year 4-0 and then face a brutal 4 game stretch of top 25 games, including battles with the #1, #2, #25 & #13 teams.

Could history repeat itself?

Heupel had meetings with his teammates after the 1st season, putting out his plan on how they are going to win each game and finish as National Champions. After the past 13 years as a mediocre or bad team, no one ever expected they would win a national title, but Heupel believed it and prepared for it, the same as he's doing here.

Heupel is also in his 2nd year as HC, the same as Stoops @ OU when they won the title back then.

*this is pretty much a synopsis of an article in "The Athletic". It's not word for word, just my interpretation of the article.

Yeah I should’ve quoted the poster you responded to that said 6-8 weeks. The only mention I see of 2 weeks:

Robinson was the first Tide player to have the surgery in October 2014 and was able to play against LSU two weeks after sustaining a high-ankle sprain.

You're right. He's in his 3rd week right now. If surgery was on the 19th then the Bama game would be 26 days after surgery. I just hope whenever he returns he's close to 100%. We've played 4 and he's missed 1, rather him miss 2 more than risk missing 6 or 7 more.

Some men really struggle with that, my buddy gets shots weekly. Very painful, I might add.

Fortunately thats never been an issue.

You wanna discuas scrotal hematoma and post-surgical bleeding thround incision site for weeks, im your guy
How do you really know it's "very painful" unless your "buddy" is actually you?

Seems depending on how much tearing happens in the syndesmosis that can change the timeline for how quickly a player can return. I'd say based on Tillman's position he may not have quite as quick of a return as others have had. Just have to hope he doesn't have any setbacks while practicing.

When I was a kid we had delivery of Charles Chips. Yes..a dedicated chip delivery just as common as a milk man. Always remember that can..as far as taste I cannot remember.

Tua played against LSU 3 weeks after his second high ankle sprain against Tennessee in 2019 where a tightrope surgery was performed.
