Biggest takeaway to me is that Heupel used to run a 4.75. Can we now call him wheels? Here’s an article written shortly after that game. The parallels to our season are uncanny. It’s long, but the part focusing on Heupel is a really good read and should be encouraging for anyone still wondering about the character of that man (as well as anyone who doesn’t need convincing):

What’s your wife’s direct number to call for connection issues? I promise to not abuse it. I seem to always get “Kevin” from Mumbai.Cool story moment
My wife works for Xfinity in the IT department and she just told me she just talked to a guy from Georgia and he asked her where she was located and she told him East Tenn and he asked her if she was a Vol fan and she says of course. Well he begins to tell her that his first cousin is Jamie Rotella that played football for UT back in the early 70s and said that his sister is currently working for Danny White and she said he thought the man told her that she was some kind of an assistant to the athletic director. He told her that the family was all leaving for LSU in the morning. Just thought I would share this with VN , Not that any of you actually cares. lol
Probably so.. but I am going to side with Giselle here (shocker).. if you say you are going to do something, you do it.. ie retire…(though I could work my way through it lol).. but they also got together a little messy (he had a pregnant girlfriend at the time) that’s usually a bad omen.. start out messy, end messy, but in this case the messy part will be the fighting over money instead.. it’s sad
It’s a moral/character thing. I think that ball is more the property of the guy who hit it out, or even the organization, than it is the fan who just so happened to have the right seat. Fans have to throw back the football after they catch a field goal. I don’t understand why a significant baseball should be any differentIs it not their rightful property?
