Just to get us started...

I don’t post much about it, but my wife could use every single prayer available right now. Probably not happening today even though she’s in a lot of distress. Doing everything we can to try and give her comfort.

Praying for you, your wife, and the doctors.

Jason Whitlock talked about the spin off on his show a good bit the other week. Said it’s misanthropic and tries to paint all women as helpless breathing sex toys that men beat into submission and men as violent psychopathic perverts who ruined the world. No thanks.
You talking about House of the Dragon?

I think I read that the New York Times bought the Athletic…am I mis-remembering?
huh, oh now I see it could look like I was telling @Enki_Amenra and others to subscribe to the Athletic

no no no, I was saying that I'm subscribing to Enki's post and any other posts that he makes comparing this year's Tennessee team to the high-flying OU team that Heupel QB'd

Equivalent of "post more, I will consume all of this"

He's a no star from Texas...
Ja'Ryan Wallace, Braswell, Wide Receiver

Did he really think he had a committable offer?
Some kids don't know the game and I have no ill will toward the kid. I think it's a shady practice to "officially" offer a kid and not let them commit though. Colleges need to work on their own terminology.

A short list of words that if I hear an East Tennessean say, I know what that person is talking about:

Coke (any soft drink but Mtn Dew. Mtn Dew has earned the right to not be called coke)
Kleenex (any tissue)
Chap stick (any lib balm)
Magic Marker (any permanent marker)
Tennis shoes (any physical activity shoes)
Church shoes (any dress shoes)
This is the way.

McGill and I were talking about the Jon Snow spin off.

I've only watched the first ep of House of the Dragon. Wasn't bad, but i wasn't blown away neither.
Non political grandstanding takes for HOTD basically tell me that they don’t flesh out the characters because they skip ahead in time radically episode by episode. Sounds like they didn’t catch the same lightning GOT did just based off that take. GOT was so good because of how in depth the first 4 seasons were. After season 4, quality gradually fell off until the last season really rubbed me the wrong way because they seemed like they put 3 seasons worth of content in 7 episodes. I understand the actors and actresses were gradually becoming unfathomably expensive. None of them were stars when the show started, after all. But good lord, you spent almost a decade building up to Winter coming.. and then when it comes you wrap it up in an episode. It was like blue balls almost lol

Here's what Cover 3 had to say on their locks pod:

Chip: This is one of the games and lookahead lines from the preseason that we were all over, but I will say Tennessee has exceeded my expectations. I was way off on Tennessee.

Bud: I am taking LSU under 31.5 points team total. I trust Tennessee more. I do not trust LSU's passing game. In Auburn game, LSU was not the better team, Auburn gave them the game. LSU's passing game continues to look poor. I have concerns about Jayden Daniels' health. They're going to try to slow the pace. Daniels running around has largely been their offense. I think LSU will score in the 20's.

Danny: I'm taking Vols -3. There are 2.5's out there. I do not think anyone is slowing down this offense. I love Hendon Hooker. I love his chances to win the Heisman. I think that Tennessee is this year's version of last year's Ole Miss. Playing at (11 am) is a huge edge. Tennessee likes to start fast. I was tempted to take 1Q Tennessee total over. I think that Tennessee wins comfortably.

Chip: Hendon Hooker is my blind faith play there. I like Tennessee.

Bud: My LSU notes are, safeties good, corners thin. Are we all worried about the LSU corners?

Danny: Absolutely.

Chip: Which emboldens Danny's Tennessee pick.

[they all agree and move on]
