I watched GOT; and I am now current on HOTD. I don’t know what bloggers or media types have said about it - just my own observations: it tells a compelling story, the characters are interesting, the world building is pretty good. Basically better than most other viewing choices available these days (other than Vol football).Ive thought character development and the build up of the tension between characters has been well done, despite the fast forward in time. I’ve also felt like the casting has been spot on. Also, I’m not sure if viewers have dropped or not but HOTD in the first episode or two were setting HBO viewership records. Will it sustain it? We will see. GOT will always be the standard, at least the early seasons, but I’ve felt like HOTD has held up pretty well so far. JMO.

Blue balls is the perfect summary, IMO.Non political grandstanding takes for HOTD basically tell me that they don’t flesh out the characters because they skip ahead in time radically episode by episode. Sounds like they didn’t catch the same lightning GOT did just based off that take. GOT was so good because of how in depth the first 4 seasons were. After season 4, quality gradually fell off until the last season really rubbed me the wrong way because they seemed like they put 3 seasons worth of content in 7 episodes. I understand the actors and actresses were gradually becoming unfathomably expensive. None of them were stars when the show started, after all. But good lord, you spent almost a decade building up to Winter coming.. and then when it comes you wrap it up in an episode. It was like blue balls almost lol
Wasn’t that a promise to Dobbs and Dobbs family? I agree we should have had a better option than Worley. He has a great work ethic. He’s one of those guys in at the crack of dawn and brings the energy all day. His great weakness is really just being cowardly. He’d start taking his foot off the gas in the second damn quarter if we had the lead and eventually that was his downfall. He also did a really poor job of getting the best players on the field. He choose to go with Justin Worley over Josh dobbs twice. Which would’ve been fine if he’d have run a pro style offense. But the fact that we read that press offense with all the rpo’s makes it such an unbelievably dumb decision.
I’ll start off by admitting I’m a old person (STFU @Weezer, @InVOLuntary , @drvenner , etc to whom I missed). I recently got the IPhone 13 and can’t post gifs. Never had that problem with my 8. Can any of you help a frail older woman? TIA. There’s a lot of Kiss my a$$ gifs I need to post to the above. It’s for the good of all us.
