More people are betting on Tennessee, but more money is being bet on bama.
Think about what you said… That makes zero sense. Why would you bet Alabama -9 when you could’ve had them at -7? It would be more likely that you would take Tennessee at +9 now when you didn’t take them at +7.

So all the money is coming in on us, but the line is going the opposite direction? That means Vegas is expecting a huge payday with Bama covering big. I don’t like that.

I don’t either..but I’m hoping it’s because they’re anticipating Bryce to play… personally I don’t think we have a answer for Gibbs or Milrose because he’s deadly with his legs and still does barely enough with his arm just to get a dub.the defense does the rest

Bama-Vols seeing big money; line shifts to Tide

Entering a weekend loaded with marquee matchups in the NFL and college football, no game had attracted more money from bettors this week than the SEC showdown between Alabama and Tennessee.

More money had been bet on the Crimson Tide and Volunteers at Caesars Sportsbook than on any other football game, including the highly anticipated NFL matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs.

Sportsbook operator BetMGM reported Friday morning that the underdog Volunteers had attracted more bets than any other college team. But the action -- and the point spread -- began shifting toward the Tide on Friday afternoon.

The line moved from Alabama -7 to -8.5 at multiple sportsbooks Friday. Caesars Sportsbook reported 65% of the point spread bets and 63% of money wagered was on the Vols.

"The action on this game has been heavy on [the Volunteers] up until this point," Joey Feazel, lead college football oddsmaker for Caesars Sportsbook, told ESPN. "The public and the sharps love Tennessee in this game. We took only a few professional bets on this game of note, both on Tennessee."

Feazel said the Friday line move "shows optimism that Bryce Young is going to start tomorrow afternoon."

This is consistent with what John Murray from the Superbook said this week as well. Lotta money on the Vols but was doing his best to swoon Bama bettors into putting some money on that side.

What does this even mean?

Sharps=Big money bettors. People who know their s**t when it comes to making money sitting at home
going on reputation and last 15 yrs. If everybody won at gambling do you not think everyone would do it. Alot are just like the mattress guy in Houston bet who you think or want. Not always the best way. Like being a fan also sways alot of money.
