Savvy move. Hopefully this puts pressure on the regular cable providers to add these types of features. DirecTV has a Sports multi-screen that's as close to Sunday Ticket as college football will ever get, but it's such an easy thing to implement that will please everyone.

Once again why YouTube is the GOAT for sports fans.

The "Key Plays" feature and unlimited dvr already cemented it.

One of my really good friends took some self defense courses…. I told her that there was no way that would work…. She told me to grab her from behind…. All she did was squirm for thirty minutes and while stepping on my foot…. She finally said…. Ok, it doesn’t work. I worry about my daughter a lot…. I go over safety tips with her all the time…. It’s a dangerous world out there.

A lot of self defense is surprise more so than strength. You do whatever you have to do to escape claw/bite/poke/stab/stomp whatever and then create distance and remove yourself from the situation as soon as possible

It’s happened many times before…. Usually partial truths filled with lies to make the other person seem worse…. I thought the cat story involving Beasley sounded true as well.

I suppose that is true. Either way Tennessee Football will be okay. As for that man’s future…..

Sometimes you just can't win for losing... So Friday they did a mobile chest x-ray on OH because the nurse didn't like what she didn't hear in his lungs and she called me later that evening to tell me OH has pneumonia which for him is super serious and scary. His confusion has also been up and down because his sodium and potassium levels are both down.

I've been doing my best to take care of everything but my parents are out of town this week and so I have no help and I'm worried about the declines his nurse is warning me about (things like I don't want you blindsided weigh heavy). Anyways someone called and I run to the door to see if it's a delivery for one of his many meds. It's not so I run back up to try and get the confused OH back to a safe area. Too late. He loses his balance and grabs the tv in our bedroom and pinches the screen hard.

So now I've got a very sick OH and need to buy a new tv when my parents return. I've got I think 3 days to get one once they get back. Normally it wouldn't matter but football! It's far less important than OH's health but it's a mental respite for me to have it.

Could def. use your thoughts and prayers right now.

You have that already. Need anything else, like help? I’m good at rolling up my sleeves and diving in.

It doesn’t affect UT football much…I don’t think he was going to be much of a factor.

I have a friend who has a really nice piece of furniture she wanted to turn into an entertainment center. She never got around to it and it's just in the way.

If any of y'all are interested, she said $20, but I'm sure she'd just give it away if someone would just go get it.

It's stout, incredible craftsmanship with dovetail joints all around. It's solid walnut I believe. Could just throw in some shelves and some sort of doors, put a top on it and have a sweet entertainment center for almost nothing.

Anyway it's in South Knoxville, down by Island Homes, if anyone is interested.

I actually taught self defense classes for a while. Looking back, definitely regret it. You are selling peace of mind to people that shouldn't have it. All of those people would have been better off terrified and fully understanding they don't know how to fight or defend themselves against anyone. If your self defense class doesn't do live sparring... Whether that's boxing, grappling, whatever... You aren't learning anything your monkey brain is going to use in an actual attack.

I remember a 115 lb 40 year old woman asking me once "So how would I make this technique work against him?" and pointed at a dude who was like 235 lb. Yeah... You wouldn't. Under any circumstance. Anything you did would just piss that dude off and possibly make your situation worse.

Carry pepper spray or a gun and practice using both. Most of your energy should be spent keeping yourself out of situations where you would need to defend yourself.

Agree. It was nice hearing Golesh today say, “We feel like we hit on both freshman RB’s”. He raved about Sampson’s vision and speed. Said he didn’t realize how great his vision was until he got to Knoxville. Also said he’s as fast as any SEC RB out there. Damn, I’m excited to see this team play.

Golesh is going to be a head coach eventually. Also, his press conferences are great, because he’s honest in everything he says. Very little coach speak. If someone isnt performing he doesn’t shy away from it, but if they do perform above expectations, he will heap praise

Our beautiful girl Molly lost her battle with old age today. I tear up when I see her chasing a frisbee somewhere in doggy heaven now.

Lord please allow Volnation to come together and celebrate Molly, your gift, and no doubt angel on earth. If you have something recorded and don’t want to watch the whole thing, you can hit key plays and it will give you the highlights. I’ve not tried it with football but it missed quite a bit in basketball.
