NIL has changed how much influence Saban has. He doesn't know how to relate to paid players. Players can now go to a school like Tennessee who will provide a more player friendly coaching environment while getting paid and still to the NFL.

"You must know how to relate to this generation's athlete, he (Saban) didn't know how in the NFL and he doesn't know how to do it in the new NIL age."

From what I've read, one of their big complaints was the Big O targeting call getting overturned. Replay showed he was trying to lead with his shoulder. It wasn't targeting. The dumb gumps are just so used to having the refs in their pocket that they can't comprehend fair officiating.

Can't really blame the gumps. The league conditions you with calls like Texas in the endzone, what do you expect?

They know the future is the expanded playoffs, and in that future it is better for the SEC to have 4-6 great programs running strong than just going all in on 2-3 jus5 to make sure an SEC team can play for the NC every year.

Been saying it all along like you posted. When the door opens, kick the mutha in.

In no particular order. Hire the right system Prez/Chancellor - check. NIL - check. Program/Facilities investment - check. Up and coming innovator HC - check. Bring in more blue bloods into the SEC - check. Take the Birmingham chokehold by officials off - happening. Expanded playoffs - next. Centralized collegiate sports officiating system (like NFL/MLB/NBA) - down the road.

The money that all of the schools make will be off the charts and the SEC will remain THE elite conference in all collegiate athletics with UT being in the elite.
