Dude you can clearly see her in his face saying something.. right before she runs off. Comon'.

If she actually didn't say anything to him I agree with you. But if she did it's no big deal. That's a sword that cuts both ways. It's not very ladylike to get in a guy's face as he's trying to get off the field. And that's what looks like happened to me.

We broke the greatest defensive mind to ever coach the game. 🤣

Again, that would be General Robert Reese Neyland.

I mean, c'mon. You guys are Vol fans. How do you guys not know our history??

Look, here's his Wiki. 112 shut out victories. There's a reason the man is a legend.

Why is he so bad? I’ve never listened to him. But he seems to be despised.

I listened to a lot of Ward on the tailgate of a truck on Saturday afternoons after spending the morning in the deer woods. When John called a game not only did he paint a picture of what was happening but his voice captured the emotion, the energy of the stadium....the atmosphere of the moment. He could make you feel the nervousness of a measurement, the concern for an injured player, the comedy of a blooper play....all with his voice. You could hear a smile in John's voice just as you could hear the furrow of his brow. Some guys have a truly special gift and John's was his voice and his love for UT.
Bob is a good guy but he just doesn't have that and it's sorely missed by many including me.

I hope that we all appreciate that our HC and staff had a plan that they hatched last season, experimented with last season and are perfecting before our eyes. We watched "conventional" football for so long that it was hard to see that this great departure from "conventional" was exactly what this program needed to vault into relevance and the cusp of prominence again. Our offense is simple enough to allow players to react and be athletes making plays but not predictable. The defense is throwing away the idea that dominance is defined by a boxscore with stats. Rather, our dominance is defined by the chaos that is caused and the extra possessions that we give to the offense. One thing lost in all the talk of bad defense is that we make every offense earn their yards and we don't give up quick drives. Time of possession is a dinosaur that means less than ever before. In the case of our Vols, winning TOP against us could be your death knell. When we score virtually every possession and we score more TD's than FG's and it takes you twice as long to try and match that, eventually you are going to make more mistakes that kill your drives (negating your TOP) or you just simply limit your opportunities with fewer possessions even though you possessed the ball longer. Our defense is either going to speed up the game by causing havoc and give our offense more possessions to be deadly efficient or they are going to make you drive the field, run the clock, kick FG's or turn it over in the red zone. As an opponent, you find yourself taking chances that you normally wouldn't at some point because you realize that more possessions and not merely possession is your only option. Pretty amazing to think about where we've been and where we now are.

This is great. The impact is changing the game. I love that, like you said, the entire scheme is built to play this way.

Good post.

Our philosophy is to score quickly, and in a high percentage of our possessions, while playing a bend but don't break defense that forces you to chew up the clock and shorten the game, while we firm up in the red zone and hold you scoreless or to a field goal.

UK philosophy: Plan to do what they want to force us to do...

Tennesseeans that root for bama will get no sympathy from me. All of these stories about bama fans being mistreated are probably ******** anyway.
If they're looking for sympathy, they should look in the dictionary and they'll find it between---------sh*t and syphilis :eek:

I actually think Bob does a pretty good job with the basketball calls. The pacing of the game provides a more urgent rhythm, and Bert injects a bunch of energy into the broadcast. No offense to Pat Ryan, but if they’re gonna stick with Bob, they need to put a football Bert up in the booth with him.

I know it’s already been mentioned several times, but I just have to give another shoutout to Hyatt and Keaton. Those two guys obviously worked their asses off in the off-season working on their craft. Keaton couldn’t catch a cold and we all know Hyatt had a horrible sophomore season. We are all getting to see that hard work paying off now. A lesson to be learned for anyone working on their craft, whatever it may be. Tip of the cap to those two young men.
