The Ohio St fans in the thread.😁

Best team in the country, am I right @Ulysees E. McGill ? But, but...Top 5 defense!! Against those offensive juggernauts Notre Dame, Rutgers and Michigan St...but, this week comes the true test for that top 5 D, as the mighty Iowa Hawkeyes, and their 14 ppg, roll into town.

He sounds like an old lady in awe trying to explain a magic trick she saw at the local casino.
You kind of have to respect Saban there. He literally admitted without excuse that he was outcoached and didn't have his players ready for what they would see. And then he turned it at the end per what's good for the fans. You have to kind of tip the hat to that.

You know.... @peaygolf has me yearning for someone (probably within UT) to create and/or release classic games film.

I'd love to watch games from the 70s/80s/90s that predated my fandom for the team. Hell I'd love to rewatch games from the 2000s as well.

I'd even be willing to edit them down like Freak does and hand right back to the person to upload them. But I just don't have access and I'm sure the university has to have some sort of film for these games, right?

You can find some on youtube. But I like your idea!

UT staff has to have film because of the "Coach's Shows"

Bunch of the old games are posted by Larry Smith of YouTube, who may or may not also be a respected poster on this and other Vol boards.

Sure, that’s respectable. But that’s a complete about-face for him. He was humbled last week and I’ve never seen him admit that before.

Sadly most you can find are a VHS copy from a national broadcast...so it's gone through a few layers of compression/edit already. The school or the network would at least have the ability to pull the original hard tapes/film. And just to have access to those games I (and I'm sure others) would probably volunteer time to transfer the media from hard tapes to digital.

Pitt would probably beat every team Ohio State has played.

Adding the i formation this year shows CJH will continue to evolve the offense. They have only run so far out of it but I’m waiting for play action. When they do someone is going to wide open.

Look, I'm not some kind of shill for Basilio, but I know lots of people give you crap about being a fan of his. That call is the perfect example (along with all his post game shows for all the sports) of why I think he's the best media person in Knoxville covering the Vols. He's a fan. That call from Big Josh, and the reaction from Dale Jones. Man, that's just beautiful stuff.
