In 1982, one season after sharing the SEC title with Georgia, Bear Bryant and Alabama were 5-0 and ranked #2 in the country after thumping #3 Penn State in Birmingham.

They rolled into Knoxville, TN and got beat 35-28. Snapping an 11-game winning streak over the Vols.

Then the wheels came off...

After rebounding over Cincinnati and Mississippi State, they dropped three more games.

Southern Miss 38-29
Auburn 23-22
All at home, and they'd had an 11-game and 7-game streak over LSU and Auburn, respectively. And a 57-game home winning streak.

They won the Liberty Bowl over Illinois, and Bear Bryant retired.

Alabama has a lot of flaws this season. They're lucky they aren't 4-3. I bet they lose again, and we start to see the end of the Saban Era in college football.

I was at that game. My Sophomore self stormed onto the field. I helped tear down one of the goal posts. It was just as awesome then as it is now!

But now our mission isn’t over. Not gonna lose to any saban offspring now or ever again. Time to wipe their tyranny (or blight if you will) from the face of the Earth. It’s our duty to save CFB from the doldrums it’s become mired in.

We’re coming and there’s not a damn thing that they can do about it.

But first, UT Martin is today’s opponent and our only focus.

Whew, finally caught back up with the thread just in time for game day

Random thoughts from someone that has been perpetually half a day behind since Saturday:
1. Kentucky fans have lost their collective ever loving mind. The levels of delusion there just don’t make sense.
2. I really like how the Summit Blue accents look with the orange. I think a uni that incorporates a little of her blue for one game a year to honor Pat would not only be a great way to honor and continue her legacy, but would look sick as well.

He was cleared by the University. He still has the felony charge pending. He probably won’t play until that’s either reduced or dismissed, IMO.

I’ve got a couple other parlays with money lines but this is my parlay with all spread picks. I’m going with the lead from what I saw on the betting app analyzer I’ve been looking at the past couple weeks. All of these games, looking at the spread, the bettors had put 75% or more on the selections I chose. I’m going to follow the crowd and see how it goes. I also looked at the top ranked CFB bettor in the app and he had a couple of these as well. Messed up on the Ole Miss pick though. If I thought they were going to beat +1 then they’d have to win, which the Moneyline bet would have gave me +100 instead of -110. Didn’t realize it til after I submitted though.
