Am I confusing him with the scotch guy? I just remember a couple of "insiders" during the past couple of coaching searches that didn't seem legit. What did this guy do?
AtlantaVol substantially financially helped several VN members in great need, and has given great tickets away several times to Armed Service members and a few poor folks.

He is a good man that made some bad predictions along with some dead on predictions about recruits and the coaching searches based on what was obviously inside information.

I think it is weird how all the colors are amplified now on TV. It's not crispness. It's computer enhanced and super saturated. Same thing, if you notice, with everything: take @TheRain's art photos (thanks!), for example. To use very "ancient" language, everything is photoshopped. I saw it a decade ago or more at theater's, but it's ubiquitous now. It's kinda comic-book movie-ish. Even people's everyday photos have often been "treated." Not shouting at cloud's (don't misunderstand), but I can't help but believe that it makes ordinary life flat to people in comparison. Does anyone else notice it? To bring it home, if you go to the game, what you see with your own eyes won't be as bright and saturated as what you see on the screen. It's not your distance from the field. The same would hold if you were present on the sideline and looking at jerseys directly in front of you. What do you think?

Gotcha 👍🏻 I’ll defer to Grizzly Adams McGill.
It is a sacred site to them, but they don't actually worship it. We visited there in 2011 and it is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. It is a National Monument and the National Park Service visitor center was awesome. Also there was a Native American NP Ranger that gave a talk about the different legends and stories of the place which was really cool.

I’ve said twice now and will continue to do so. I was in a down point in my career, during the height of the pandemic and shortages. I voiced it on here because I was at my wits end and just needed to vent. He reached out to see what I needed, monetary or supplies on here. Go back and read. It was frustration due shortages for my little people and I will never forget it and I will continually take up for him. I still know how to roll up my sleeves. 😤
He is a great guy

Same with Ayers Rock / Uluru I think.

I disagree to a point.. I don't think the pictures I take EVER do the real thing justice.

Good point. I have both experiences at different times. To begin, I'm not talking about photos I take but movies, tv, ads that are enhanced in an engrossing but noticeably artificial way imo.

But also, pictures I take usually (as you mention) don't do the original justice. And all sorts of treatments are available even on phones to treat those photos. But those treatments to me look artificial too (just less amplified than the pros). They look off to me too. Often in a super colorized way.

Agree. Just wait till VR gets there.

Can't wait till they expand the VR sports events down to cfb games. Will be able to sit on the 50 YL at Neyland finally!

Also agree on this. My wife will try to take shots of something cool, but I can tell off the bat it won't do the subject justice at all.

But like Orange said, we could always take a picture of a bland sky and make it look otherworldly with some PS work (or heck, just click a filter these days).

I don't think I've ever seen one that big. What does an 85er even look like? I think the biggest I've ever owned was a 60 inch. I loved it but that was back when tvs were much bulkier.
This was when we rented Jurassic Park dominion for my son's birthday. We had a party for him before his bday but on his bday he wanted a movie night. Wife went too far with decorating smh.

But again the important part is how big the room is. This is a decent sized room so it doesn't dominate the room. 20220812_192040.jpg

Couple things.

Nice TV, but, Applebees for a kid bday? You're sick!

Haha. Applebee's would've been cheaper. We went to one of those trampoline/arcade/laser tag places and invited his whole class. Some parents showed up without an RSVP and some with extra kids.

Oh, I can only imagine.

We've run the gamut with those parties. What's amazing is how many of them there are. Sometimes three a weekend.
