I can only imagine living in that cabin and walking out every morning to that view. Probably wouldn't be very productive. Awesome awesome view.
Valles Caldera is on my bucket list and has been for a long time...ever since I saw that cabin and valley featured in a Pierce Brosnan-Liam Neeson western named "Seraphim Falls" many many years ago.

When I first watched Longmire and saw that place I told my wife that I knew exactly where it was because I had seen it before.

When I first watched Seraphim Falls I thought it was so beautiful that I looked up the filming locations to find out where it was.

UTPROF, you really have been enduring a tough time lately. I will leave the prayers to people who may be heard but if you find yourself short on the purchase price I would be willing to help if that’s something you are comfortable with.

Don’t want to see a Vol fan not being able to watch the game..

I meant to respond to this earlier.... I just want you to know that this didn't go unnoticed. I'm overwhelmed by the generosity of your heart. VN is truly filled with wonderful people. I think I will be able to cover replacing the tv even though times are tough for us right now but I want you to know that this is an incredible thing and I really do appreciate it. Thank you for being so thoughtful and caring. I know a television is a luxury item but sometimes it's the little things in life like tvs and computers that keep us sane.

I know I might sound like a broken record but thank you and never change VN. The hearts of people here are so good. You all really do help me so much when I get overwhelmed with things. There's so much I can't change with regards to our situation but I know VN has my back and when I get down that uplifts me - so from the bottom of my heart thank you - truly, thank you (and all you other knuckle heads too ).

Well, y’all made it complicated about which is best by arguing. And nobody has answered my question. What should I get if I only want to watch college football and an occasional movie?
There are several options…… my dad uses Hulu live that has all the games and some movies that you can watch…. YTTV, sling and a few more….You can also download apps from your firestick….. it basically scrapes from different websites from the internet…. Sites such as watch32 or sun movies…If you ever hear anyone mention streamus or Reddit for football games…. It’s also the same concept…. It is in that gray area legally like someone has mentioned…it’s your choice on which route that you would like to go.

Yeah tell that to the folks in their 60s and 70s who want nothing to do with tech. This is good for a lot of people but shouldn't be a one size fits all. No one should have to have a smart phone to attend an event for example. It also creates other problems.

I love tech but what happens if my phone battery gives out in a digi only system?
I've heard they'll have charging stations outside. Tifwiw.

My issue is 1 in 7 Americans don't have a smart phone. What about those folks? Whether because of age, desire to not be "wired in" 24/7, or simply not having the means while spending your last saved dollars to see your beloved Vols...I just hope they have a workaround for the few that need it.

Mind games. They put the Trojans right before the Cocks. Can't be a coincidence.
Have we talked about this????

who is our Wrangler athlete, and where can I buy my Vols-themed denim tuxedo?

This young man had all the talent to be awesome as a QB. I watched him play football for Southlake for 3 years…thought that he would be perfect for Tennessee, but we had a pruitt based problem at the time.

And then he went to ohio state and contracted the dangerous Billy Ray Cyrus virus…deadly to your social life and all aspects of human interactions. It also makes you think seriously foolish thoughts such as you are a gift to the world…🥵

Its always important to strike hard and fast. Go for the soft points, the genital's and the eyes. Seriously, go for the spots that have the most nerve endings and are the most vulnerable. Headbutts work too.
uh, a head butt would suck. esp in the cold.

Prayers sent.

Prof, I bought my Samsung Tizen TV on special at BB, and, subsequently one for my inlaws in Murrville.

There was an option to choose the TV using my phone, rate it against others (still went and put eyes on in person), and speak to person half my age who didnt know crap.

Anyway, BB app allows you to 'hang the TV' on the wall to see the specs. Using phones camera, you can visualize (for those who have 0 spatial awareness), the TV on wall.

I would recommend nothing less than 50", UHD 4K.

I believe you can pay BB $50-100 to have TV delivered to your door, and, installed professionally.

Depending on if you use traditional cable versus streaming will dictate smart versus non.

My experience with TV's, is similar to other electronics. Software overlay slows the processing speed down largely making for herky jerkiness. Smart TV's are just Iphones for technologically illiterate (I own one).

Apple TV's are overly complex and UI is horrible, iyam. Roku is trimmed down, sleek, and easy to use. Roku express is about $25.

Hope that helps.

AppleTV is not expensive and so easy to use that my Mother in law and my 73 year old sister can easily use them. Otherwise we agree… 🤔

Pretty sure he sported that mullet from birth. Prolly only altered it when your boys bleached their hair during the playoffs…as tradition warranted. 😏

Johnny, whaddya make of this?View attachment 483156

If grabbed from behind, bend your knees, even lifting your feet off the ground as quickly as possible. Catch the attacker by surprise. When your feet touch the ground, immediately do a jump squat. Your first move should pull their head forward. 2nd move the hardest part of your skull will impact their face at a high velocity. The second they let go, you run away, oh and scream as loud as you can throughout the entire encounter.

I totally agree with keeping your head on a swivel. I let a group of pickpockets know that I saw them in Italy and they bugged out. (They made the mistake of thinking my Orange Tennessee shirt marked me as a easy tourist target) 😎
I literally did this to the leader and then just fell out laughing as they took off:

That mullet is absolutely horrible. Kid needs a friend to step in and intervene. I know if I tried to grow a stache to 'look dapper' my buddies would remind me, that indeed it looks like poop.

That beard, needs a trim bra.
