I think it was a good hire, but they are absolutely stacked with elite talent..I think a lot of it is all that talent learning and getting better. That defensive coordinator hire for the Buckeyes was the key. They’ve had the offense. Just needed the defense. 38th last year defensively. 5th entering this game. Knowles is phenomenal
I'd be happy just to find someone who knows how to actually work a full week. When Pope was hired most were happy with it trusting in Heup, but there were a few wringing their hands wanting a big name.
Not enough focus and understanding is put on the importance of fit. Fit within the culture, Fit within the system, Fit within the philosophy, Fit amongst personalities.
Think about that in your workplace. You may lose someone and fill that spot with someone more competent in their tasks, but you still may see a productivity decline if they don’t mesh well with their team members.
I knew the importance and impact in the past...but I do not believe in segregation, either by choice or not. As long as people of all color and creed get tbe same opportunity then I have no problem with it.Sorry my reception is bad and didn't see others had answered before me. Majority of people don't know the importance and impact.
or even just secondary. We know Garner is the real deal, as is Martinez. Just need the talent back there. We definitely can if we start recruiting at the Bama/ UGA level on defense. Which D recruiting is looking very promising in 24 & 25
