Kentucky was suppose to have been at full strength. Quarterback and bruiser running back returned. I bought into how it was going to be a big test. Rat poison but we look so good-- like upper tier- the best of the best good. I'll say it again, Georgia is ice cream after beating five ranked teams.
We gotta operate better inside the 35 yd line to beat UGA. Not sure if Hooker had paralysis by analysis or if Heupel was just being stubborn but we weren’t clicking on all cylinders in the pass game last night like we usually do. I was kinda disappointed by all the missed opportunities. I know…. I’m already spoiled 8 games into the season 😏

Absolutely have to get points, preferably tuddies, that close with our offense. Not gonna beat UGA and Ohio St. with how we didn’t finish drives last night.

BUT… Not a Debbie Downer! We fried some pussycat last night and I’ll take that for sure! GBO!

I had never seen Heupel do that before… just looked super intense lol.. One thing I have noticed is that he seems to take every game super seriously, no matter the opponent
Every game, and every play. The guy is always coaching and always a few moves ahead of the opposing coach.

I do agree with the Cat. Kentucky did have a better defense than Bama. They did a nice job holding us to 44 (with missed chip shot FG and Xtra point).
They had that one series where we didnt score. Was crazy. HH threw
ball into the ground. Never seen that. And then that one series where we couldnt convert on 4th and 25

While that game was huge for the program, I don’t think one game flips a recruit in the current cycle. By now, most kids know where they are going unless maybe a coach gets fired. The Bama win is huge for future recruiting. I believe we also like most of our current commits. We might drop a couple, but we are fairly set and will finish it out with a few more.

I honestly don’t see this staff as the ones that let a player commit only to dump them later. That’s so kiffin/jpruitt type recruiting. I don’t think they are going to do that.

I really do have faith in their recruitment process. They really are getting players to compliment their system and they can develop. Not grabbing the highly rated mr me me players at all. It’s refreshing.

Team first. Tennessee first. Volunteers always first. I don’t think the transfer portal will get many players from our team anymore.

I also don’t think that they miss on evaluating players either.

This is our Tennessee Volunteer dream come true!

15-0 🤠

A short story for y’all:

My dad is an absolute diehard. He’s been watching games since he was a little kid, loves to tell me stories about great ones he remembers, and I still recall his sort of stunned, contented “I’m so happy I got to see it once in my life” when we won the national title. Some of my happiest memories are going to Tennessee games with him. He had a health scare in August-September (he’s okay now) and then was so excited to go to the Florida game when he came down with COVID. He gave his ticket to me but I could just hear the sadness in his voice when we talked after, knowing he wanted to be there so bad.

He thought he wasn’t going to get to go to a home game this year but we were making plans to go to Columbia together for the Carolina game. He wanted to go to the Kentucky game but figured it was too expensive and that he’d be too tired after getting up at 4AM to be at work at 6. The Mizzou game was out as he works that day.

I guess it got to him, because at about 3:45 yesterday afternoon I get a call from him and figured he just wanted to shoot the breeze. I answer the phone and he says, “I’m going to the game.” He’d found a seat on the first row of the Tennessee Terrace in his price range and said “what the hell.” So here goes my 70 year old father, by himself, to Neyland Stadium for a night game. He regularly goes to bed at 7PM but he caught his second wind I suppose because he had a great time and got to experience an absolutely electric environment. I’m so glad he got to be there in person at Neyland at least once in this amazing season.

By the way, he said the Terrace is amazing. You have dedicated bathrooms and concessions and you take a nice leisurely elevator ride to get up there. Now I want to go!

We got a shot...but it will be a really tough pull at Sanford stadium. It will take a much better overall game than what we played against Bama.

On a neutral field it is a pick-em.

Do you know how freaking insane it is to say that? That they are getting this level of play out of this roster doesn't make any sense.

If we make the playoffs...this has to be one of the greatest coaching jobs of all time...no debate.

I'm sure the talking head idiots that do not really know the reality of our roster heading into the 2021 season may not understand....but we do.

This is already one of the best I have ever seen.
