We would be the odd team out if all three have one loss. Anyone who says otherwise isn’t paying attention. Legacy teams in the playoff will get benefit of the doubt, newcomers will not.

Not in that scenario. We'd have beaten Georgia head-to-head and split with Bama. We'd go in ahead of Georgia. The screw job would come if they only put one SEC team in.

Game of the year! We are battle tested. We have had the spotlight put on us already a couple of times, and have shined! This is really the first true test for Georgia with the spotlight on them. They are going to feel the pressure and buckle. I do not consider the first game of the year to be any kind of test. We all knew they would roll Oregon.

I had never seen Heupel do that before… just looked super intense lol.. One thing I have noticed is that he seems to take every game super seriously, no matter the opponent

Yes, there’s no way you can take Georgia over us if we already beat them. In my humble opinion, and I hate to say this, because it seems we are always getting screwed, but if we can win this Saturday and finish out the last three games, I think we are a lock for the playoff, no matter what happens in Atlanta. However, my goal first and foremost is just like this team. Get to Atlanta win the SEC championship!

All of us deserve every bit of this! We have been here through some of the most difficult times in our program’s history, and we have stood by its side. It is our time now, to reap some benefits and enjoy being one of the top teams again! Kudos and standing ovation to every single one of us for sticking by our program through it all. We have the greatest fan base of any program in the country!

Everyone needs to enjoy every single moment and minute of this season, and especially this week. Win or lose on Saturday, we have proven that Tennessee football is back, and to be feared again for a very long time. I do not see Heupel being a NFL coach. I think he loves the pageantry of college football, and he knows just how special it is to coach on Rocky top. I think he is ours for a very long time.

Have faith brother! These Vols are different. They won’t quit. They also won’t be denied.

These Vols put to rest any hope that the Kentucky fans had.
Tough defense will hold the Vols to 20ish points? Nope
Tough RB will run all over the Vols? Nope
Kentucky is second toughest team in the East? Nope
Kentucky has a 1st round qb who’s gonna light up the Vols defense? Nope
Kinda sad that Tennessee didn’t allow any aspect of kentucky football to excel? Nope

Our Tennessee Volunteers are now 8-0
Seems like we have won way more than 8 games this season so far…

Now time to focus on beating the georgia bulldogs.
They looked good and bad against the gators yesterday. Time to show them SEC Football Tennessee Style!

Bennett has been pretty mobile and seems to be better getting yards on the ground compared to Young...however, he's not as elusive. Sack opportunities will be there. He's still a capable passer with two outstanding TEs that are hard to cover. I like the same strategy the defense used against Kentucky...go all out to stop the run, blitz the QB, play up in man and force the QB to beat you over the top. Levis couldn't complete passes under pressure (except to the defense) and Bennett has had some picks and made some bad throws under pressure.

I really thought they'd squeeze out 21 pts. . . 6pts is basically a shutout, especially when you're defending the #1 overall draft pick at QB.

I think it depends on if Ohio St/Mich, Clemson, TCU all go undefeated. If they stay undefeated I think it’s those 3 + SEC Champion, regardless if there’s 2 other SEC schools with only 1 loss.

Our best chance is to scheme to take out (not literally… at least on purpose anyway) the TEs, particularly Bowers. Hopefully that’s not J. Banks’ assignment because he is atrocious in pass protection.

Nice to see the Defense turn the corner. Hard to wrap my head around this turn around, but I'll take it. Very fortuitous that the stars aligned and Heupel and Hooker converged in Knoxville. What has followed is phenomenal.
