So we are heading back to TN from IL after visiting my grandparents. I am so glad we came, but it is heartbreaking. They have been married for 74 years and my PaPa is in a nursing home and my Na is still in their home about 1/4 mile away. He just can't get strong enough to do what they want him to do and so he probably won't leave the nursing home until he goes home with Jesus.

My Na is probably headed to the assisted living side soon as she has arthritis in her hips so bad she can has a hard time even walking. I will tell you though. That woman still does everything she can to take care of her husband. She collects his clothes from the nursing home everyday and washes and folds them. She makes cottage cheese and apple salad to take to him everyday because she knows he doesn't like the nursing home food. 74 years of taking care of someone and sharing life and they can't be together for the home stretch.

Sorry for bringing the mood down after the game. I just admire them so much and it just breaks my heart. This is what 74 years of marriage looks like. Two of the finest people in the world.View attachment 508137

Watch the video about the writing of the Kathy Mattea song “where have you been” and I’ll tell you your not a human being if you can’t feel something from that. My great grandparents both died a few weeks apart both in their late 90s and sounds very similar to your grand parents. We should all have that joy from a long life. Bless them.

The idea that we have shifted timelines into an alternate reality is more plausible than the turn-around that's happened since Heupel was hired.

I don't think that most of our fans understand that. I have said it is a miracle, but it is not...this is just pure hard work and coaching coaching coaching.

The old adage about Jimmies and Joe's trumping Xs and 0s is true, but Heupel is proving that great coaching can turn Jacks and Johns into Jimmies and Joes.

Bama gets in by winning out. We'd probably get in because nobody would have a better resume than us. Even with a loss in ATL

FSU in 98 is probably my top all time, hard to pick a non championship winning game over it. Hopefully this season ends with the new #1 being a CFP championship win over Ohio State or Michigan (or anyone other slow as team!)
