5 years ago, no one at all saw this coming. It’s unexplainable how bad he has been.

They were absolutely pathetic after the onside kick. The most mentally weak team I've ever watched maybe.

Low percentage but Nebraska's defense was bad enough to give it to them. Nebraska has it been expecting the run on every play and would have been caught flat-footed by play action. Just an example of Northwestern playing not to lose instead of playing the win. Now they have run down the clock to the point where Nebraska has a chance to win the game with the ball in their hands while giving Northwestern no time.

They were ripping off chunks, when your doing that you keep running. Now I may have thrown on 3rd once when we were on their end of the field. But they were ahead and Nebraska was clearly not stopping the run. Nothing is more demoralizing than that. They made them have to go 97 yards with very little time left an no timeouts. I would have taken one shot on 2nd or 3rd down once I was down there. But hard to argue about running once they got that very first first down. They were ripping 10-20 yard runs which is probably taking more time than a decent pass would have.
