Crazy that we need to root for Bama, LSU (with the exception of the SECCG), and Florida for the rest of the season for our SOS and SOR. Or TCU, Oregon, UCLA, and USC can all lose to guarantee we in the final 4 of the CFP.

Kickoff time set for Gamecocks, Volunteers

I know it’s missouri week, but since their board looks like a 1997 chat room, I’ve been stalking my home state’s crazy ass fans.

I wish I could say I’m surprised, but I’m not. People who don’t live here like me, @Scvol7906, and others would probably be shocked to learn that USCe fans really do expect to beat us every year. They see us as a bygone juggernaut that is their equal, or even beneath them.

Our success this year has really done a number on them. They are either lamenting the return to the SEC’s natural power balance, thus ending the 15 years of down UGA/UT/UF teams in varying years that they never took advantage of… or they are in denial. They talk themselves into believing we haven’t beaten anyone of note, much like the rest of the nation. Pitt sucks, UF is down, LSU was an 11am game, Bama is down and we got lucky, etc.

There are some fans who are admitting their best chance is our plane going down en route to Columbia, but the majority are like this. Especially the ones I know personally.

well it felt like a route. Never close. 14 points seems like lie LOL.

Felt like we lost by 30.

But it doesn't really matter.

But it is important imo. I know a lost is a lost but losing by 14 compared to losing by 46 on a "neutral field" like Oregon did when we have to compare our resume to a potential 1 loss conference champion is vital. And I agree, UGA was never threatened by us by the midway point of the 1st Q. I just don't like the narrative when we are fighting for a playoff spot when we lost a true road game by 14.

Can someone tell me why Ohio State is so highly regarded outside of recruiting rankings? Their best win is a nailbiter over Notre Dame and they have two close calls back to back weeks. Michigan's schedule is laughable. For me, it should be 1. GA 2. TCU 3. TN 4. OHST 5. MI 6. LSU. I don't see what the backing is on any of the PAC schools either. Oregon has only beaten UCLA, who's best win was over 2 loss Utah, who beat USC. USC has played 1 decent team and lost to them.
Because...like UGA and Alabama they have elite talent stacked up 3 deep.

And sadly I don't think it will ever change..

It's going to be interesting to see how many recruits that passed us by last year want to be a part of this team going forward. The exposure we have gotten this year has given recruits all over the country a taste of what is to come.
