They were saying let your imagination run wild because OSU/Mich will have a loser, TCU and USC could still lose, and LSU is not beating UGA. The only one standing on their resume is Tennessee so let everyone else impress. Seriously. Aside from "but wait, what if!" scenarios, they all looked good with Tennessee tagging in after someone falls. So what the committee is saying, if Tennessee and LSU win out (tcu loses among the way), there will be 3 teams in the playoff lol
Top ratings does that for you. Some were worried about ESPN trying to find ways to keep Vols out but I just saw them roll the red carpet out
USC is about to play UCLA and Norte Dame. If they beat both and then win the pac 12, they will be in. If Clemson wins out and then beats an 11-1 NC in the ACC championship, who knows what the committee would do there, tho they wouldn’t deserve it.It should be 100% apparent that no teams from the ACC or PAC 12 should be in the Playoff.
I appreciate Rece Davis and his support, but I just cannot see a scenario where if LSU gets a fluke win over Georgia and is the conference champion that they DON’T leapfrog us. Call it BVS or whatever you want, but it feels unrealistic that the committee will set the precedent of including 2 teams from the same conference in the playoffs and neither of those 2 teams won the conference.
It might lessen our resume slightly, but I’m not so sure we shouldn’t be rooting for A&M next week to upset LSU just in case Georgia lays a massive egg. In thay scenario, there is no debate. A 3-loss LSU isn’t getting in.
WTF? Have your feelz recalibrated. LSU is a two loss team that lost badly at home to a one loss UT that's only lost to the current #1.I appreciate Rece Davis and his support, but I just cannot see a scenario where if LSU gets a fluke win over Georgia and is the conference champion that they DON’T leapfrog us.
