It stinks of BVS in here. It's worse than the smell of parvo.I would be flabbergasted. A team with 2 losses would jump a team that blasted it on its home field. If that happened, then there is no more talk of teams “deciding it on the field.”
The head of the committee has made reference to our offensive numbers, and I believe our exciting brand also favors us.
So last week all we had to worry about was Oregon. Now that they lost we have to worry about USC.USC is about to play UCLA and Norte Dame. If they beat both and then win the pac 12, they will be in. If Clemson wins out and then beats an 11-1 NC in the ACC championship, who knows what the committee would do there, tho they wouldn’t deserve it.
at the very least we need TCU to lose because Michigan and TCU would then drop out. So even if USC is in, we will be too
I’ve been scared to say anything, lol. Like it’s taboo to talk about a no-no.this is funny but it is a good question and a great point
I have to admit, I've been very surprised with how many teams, especially lesser opponents, haven't laid down to stop our tempo. I was convinced that after the MCB last year that teams would just lay down drive after drive to make us go insane. I wonder if there was something behind the scenes to severely discourage it from happening.
I will happily admit that I was very wrong that teams would do it to us nonstop this year. Kind of surprised at the same time.
WTF? Have your feelz recalibrated. LSU is a two loss team that lost badly at home to a one loss UT that's only lost to the current #1.
There is really no debate. That 2-loss LSU will not bump UT.
If they blindly choose conf champs without considering strengths of schedules, strengths of wins, and strengths of losses, then they will need to start pulling in MAC champs and all the rest. Because, you know... Conf champs are conf champs.
Apparently, we're now being told to worry about Clemson, too. Truth be told, all we can do is keep winning, and winning impressively. After that, it's just hoping the committee doesn't screw us over. Winning the PAC-12 or the ACC championship game doesn't make them more impressive than Tennessee. Both of those conferences are weak. We deserve to be in the playoffs. So last week all we had to worry about was Oregon. Now that they lost we have to worry about USC.
Let those of us who aren't suffering from BVS-induced delusions come to your aid. We're trying to tell you it won't happen, that it's ridiculous enough to not waste time worrying about. The committee will say “LSU beat Georgia, which clobbered Tennessee.” They will find some way to spin it. I’m not saying I think it’s what should happen. Just think of how wild it would be to have 2 conference teams in the playoff and you leave out the conference champion.
Again, so I agree? NO. I just have a very bad feeling and hope this doesn’t happen. I hope Georgia clobbers the Tigers on December 3rd.

Are you going to bet against Tennessee again? The committee will say “LSU beat Georgia, which clobbered Tennessee.” They will find some way to spin it. I’m not saying I think it’s what should happen. The only thing that worries me is LSU somehow winning the SEC title game but I think UGA beats them by 2-3 scores.
USC isn’t going undefeated.
Clemson is still below Alabama. Tells you again all you need to know regarding their thoughts of Clemson
I also heard from the VQ guys that the reason Richt was fired after going 10-2 is because South Carolina was about to hire Kirby and the GA folks weren’t having it so they made the moveI've actually heard from a few folks with good connections that Kirby was very interested in the UT job after Dooley was fired. The admin wanted to stay away from coaches from the Saban tree since that was part of their selling point when hiring Dooley and they also wanted a sitting head coach, so they never were interested in Kirby.
Truth. But USC‘s schedule is backloaded. They’ll have to beat 3 ranked teams in order to win out. If they do, they’re in.
