I agree with @UTProf (#79,182): I can see why people fall for the line about "undefeated," "no name school," "unfair," and all that, but I do NOT see how anyone who actually watched them play TX could honestly believe TCU belongs.

Now they do deserve the Big-12 champion's bowl tie-in. Absolutely, if they win out. And they would prolly get lucky as a conference #1 and play a disappointed other-conference #3. That's an unmerited advantage in itself, and sufficient.

That’s fair. If it’s truly the top 4 teams it should be Georgia, Big Ten Champ, Tennessee, and Alabama.

I don't hate him. I have made plenty of bad decisions in my life and yes, it definitely could have been handled better by everyone.

I'd like to see LSU over Bama in the Sugar. I think they would deserve it and I think they would play harder, and without pouting sit-outs. Bama to the Gator or Citrus or something. Wherever SEC #4 goes. But whatev.

If you're a network, you want tOSU vs UT to happen or even USC vs UT. Both would be great tv and that's important for games like this that are going to be watched nationally. UGA is a great team but they're like watching an elite version of Stoops' UK teams. I have no idea how on Earth they manage to be as good as they are on offense despite being as awful as they are on offense. They are the ugliest elite offense I've watched. Efficient and capable of scoring a ton of points but just so ugly and often boring.

The segment flattered TCU in a way because it's not that LSU, BAMA, and Tennessee would beat them that's the problem. The problem is that Arkansas, South Carolina, Mizzou, Kentucky, State, Florida etc. are teams that could and would give TCU a loss this year.

Agree. I was shocked when I heard Herbstreit talking about the TCU TX game, and saying what a great game it was and how impressed he was their defenses . I was dumbfounded. My hubby and I thought both teams were just terrible. Cannot believe Ewers was ever a coveted 5 star.

As was said earlier today by several posters, Georgia's defense lived -- as Kirby pre-announced was his game plan -- in our game by holding our receivers every single play. I don't think they will get away with that in the playoffs. They are worried that only the committee can stop us from beating them.

That's why they are raising such hell about us. They are telling you who they fear.

Texas 5 stars are consistently overrated. Not bad, just overrated.
