Would be no different than Pruitt hiring Chaney.

It will still be Beamer's version of the offense, and thus, will fail miserably.

I never understood why Pruitt controlled the offense the way he did. He was a great DC but what on Earth made him think he knew better than an experienced OC how to make an offense work? If he'd let Chaney do his job, he'd have been much more successful here before he got hammered for violations. If Beamer is the same way then SC is in trouble. Right now most SC fans are blaming the OC for the offense and Beamer for not firing him after last year.

They are starting to believe for a second lol

Good. I actually respect that. Take the field and fight your guts out. Give no ground. You lose? No tears, just prepare for the rematch next year. That's how I as a fan feel about the uga game, and from HH's tweet after the game, it's how he feels too.

As a defensive coordinator you actually learn a lot about offensive football by watching film and game planning. You know what causes stress on a defense and you know plays defenses are built to stop.

Just because someone is an offensive or defensive coordinator doesnt mean that they are clueless about the other side of the ball.

Plus Tennessee had to be vanilla on offense with Pruitt here. Guarantano was just a gane manager. He wasnt going to go win you a game but he sure as hell could go out and lose it for you.

I play PS5 with DJ Henderson every now and then. He’s from a rival high school in town and played under pruitt, was a butch recruit though I think. He says he wish he played under Heupel but did acknowledge defense would be a lot harder with how fast they score lol

Pruitt was calling plays they hadn't practiced though. He interfered in the offense more than anything.

One of my best friends is a Vandal and lives on a cattle ranch about an hour from Moscow. I'll talk to him about this.

One thing I've learned about the Idaho panhandle is people go missing a lot. Real easy to make someone disappear and blame it on a fall or a bear or something. His sister's best friend went missing 4 years ago and they found her leg something like 300 miles downstream last year. Did DNA on the bones to confirm. She got in a fight with her BF along the river while camping and the BF said she "walked off" so they can't prove it was him.
This sounds like a horror movie!

That's horrible. I had a classmate in grad school who was murdered by her boyfriend. She knew she was in trouble and left a note behind that said if she was found missing it was him. She never told any of us what was going on but we found out through the note. Fortunately, he was convicted but I don't think he got a life sentence. I was left to talk to her sister about it. I don't know if I helped or not but I told her about her sister's time with us and what we knew about her boyfriend (which wasn't much beyond he was from out of state). She told me the details of the murder and it broke my heart even more.

There's a helplessness when someone you care about is taken from you and a feeling of failure that never goes away. I can imagine it's that much stronger for a best friend, sibling, or parent. You know it's not your fault but you can't help but review what you might've done differently constantly.
