Allegedly filled out fake timesheets and got paid for work he didnt do for UK Hospital - I think it involved being a driver of some kind. Apparently has been going on for years with several players but when whoever turned them in CRod was the one currently receiving the checks.

What’s going to get interesting is if what’s floating out there is true, that’s taxpayer/ public money though. That’s going to be a bad look on both CRod and the University . Amount wouldn’t matter one bit. The principle is what would be the issue.

It continues to surprise me that people conflate this with NIL because in both scenarios the players aren’t pulling shifts at the company. In a NIL agreement, the player isn’t supposed to be working for the company as in pulling shifts and punching in. They’re just using their image in marketing generally. That’s the difference. CRod was supposed to actually be working. That was the agreement and instead he turned in forged timecards (if the story is true.) So to say well players on NIL deals also aren’t working doesn’t make sense. This wasn’t a NIL deal.

This was a job that was setup by a booster and has went on for from what others have said 15-20 years across multiple sports. A change in admins brought out the problem. Wright is suspended too. Looks like at least one more. It may not make it right that it's went on this long or that a booster is responsible, but it is ridiculous to suspend them now.
These comments are why JRow and MJ didn't want to report anything. Along with the family right act they may have not been able to either

UK and other schools have done this forever. The horse farms were notorious for hiring basketball players back in the 70’s-90’s.

I think you may be right as to what happened and many say this has been done for many years…as a way to get players $$$. I’m guessing he got paid more than just a few dollars more than his “actual work”. And guessing this is where the players knew they were paid way more, it has been understood for a number of years.

I believe this silence is all about the specific place where the incident allegedly took place. If the stories are true, this is YEARS of time clock fraud at a Hospital. Hospital is the key word.
Did you guys know that Hospitals receive the lions share of their reimbursements from CMS, the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare?
Do you know what the penalty for a hospital is for fraud that leads to Federal reimbursement? Loss of ALL reimbursement going forward. Private insurance companies no longer reimburse those bills either. A hospital would be forced closed.
I believe this is much, much bigger than just CRod's paycheck being inflated a few bucks.

I somehow scratched my cornea (probs during a recent kitchen scramble 🔪 ) and am on an antibiotic and some pain killers. Hurts like a son of a gun, and I can’t hardly see but I’ll be there in Neyland. I have two eyes anyway, only need one to see Hendo launch the spheroid into the cheggarboards.

The suspended players aren't suspended and I never said suspended anyway.

That is some high level stupid. I mean, look, I think Stoops is a hot head that gets more credit than he deserves given the scheduling magic his AD uses to produce wins but up until now I haven't questioned whether or not he was intellectually challenged. That statement makes me question whether or not he's stroking out, on the sauce, chugging red bulls with coach O every 32mins, on drugs or some combination thereof.

Def hot headed as hell. I've never seen that dude when he wasn't red faced and agitated. You might be on to something lol.
