Absolutely other factors to be taken into account.

One that I feel plays strongly in Banks’s favor in the comparison between the 2 is that our offense runs a fast break every possession. The defense is constantly being trotted right back out there after like 1.5 mins of game time. And yet they still managed to keep points off the board (for the most part, definitely not always).

I like Arnett too. So I went looking for reasons why I liked him and thought he would be this huge upgrade that everyone said he was. And the numbers weren’t doing it for me. Consistency maybe. I can see that being a point for Arnett. But there are games I really question his rush defense, just like I question our pass defense.

Pass ypg I get it. My only point on that is teams gave up on the run early and tried to keep pace. That put a spotlight on our weak secondary yet the defense was able to keep big points off the board (for the most part).

I agree with this…. I think most fans base their complaints on emotion instead of facts…. I was that way with Martinez…. Thought he struggled really bad his last stint at Tennessee… went back to look and stat wise…. Those were some of the best pass defense that we had in years.

It baffles me that Tennessee fans on a Tennessee message board WANT Bama to make the playoffs in a spot that they shouldn't even be in, a spot that should be ours. I mean, seriously, WTF is wrong with you people??!

This isn't the NFL. When only four teams make the playoff, I have to wonder if a two-loss team deserves to make it in. IF any two-loss team does, then it's absolutely us, but I still question if ANY two-loss team deserves it. Things will be so much better IMO when we go to 12.

Tbf hardly anyone deserves in at this point except the 3 unbeatens. Everyone else has either taken a beatdown or has 2+ losses.

Great year for chaos. Too bad we couldn't take advantage. All that stood between us and it was 1 GARBAGE AZZ field. Don't know if I'll ever get over that. That field should be blown up and rebuilt from scratch. And sued by the Hookers.

I really wonder how much effect it had on our defense..I believe it could have had a bad effect if they were prepared but we were not, but there were so many defensive guys going through the motions that day that I doubt it would have mattered to the defense if the field was in better shape.
