I do not understand what is so hard to grasp about this. The mods, who have no reason to lie, say Golesh calls the plays.

If I am wrong please correct me @Brent_Hubbs @Austin_Price @Eric_Cain
Calls plays…yes!
Called every play? Not imo
Called plays knowing what’s Heup wants? Yes
Is a great Football mind? Absolutely!

I still expect Heup to go TE coach and not OC replacement.

If that is the case, would a guy like Jeff Farris get a look? Knoxville Catholic alum…He has coached TE at Duke and UCLA and you have to be a bright Football mind to coach with Cut and Chip imo.

Does Heup have anyone else in his tree? Don’t see Jo Jon as Heup didn’t take him to UCF with him.

Is there someone in the league? Timeline will be interesting. He didn’t get in any hurry last year or when he first got here. He moves at his pace.

And unfortunately I think OSU has the best shot of beating UGA compared to the other playoff teams. UGA has another easy path to a national championship just like last year.
Yeah and that’s only because of their passing game. LSU threw all over UGA. If Ohio St OLine holds up and Stroud has the game of his career maybe they have a chance. But I still think UGA wins convincingly.

I hope Ohio Stae finds a way to pull it out. Hope they play the game of their lives and eliminate Georgia. I don't want Georgia winning another title.
If they can get JSN back who hasn’t played basically all year at receiver and get Trey Henderson healthy at RB I think they have a good shot.

I agree, just think OSU is really, really soft. Like softer than every other ream in the playoffs.

Yep. We’ll see how the opt outs go, they may have key guys out too.
Why I don’t think winning or losing bowl games mean a lot anymore.

I don't disagree, except the negavols will hold over the narrative that we were "only" 1 win better than Butch's 2 best seasons. Ofc ignoring our best wins were far better, we went WAY higher (#1), etc. But that will be the narrative and I'll hate if it goes down that way.

Ofc optimally we jusy rake Clemson and it's all good. But I would rather just go 11-2 and beat up on KSU or some B1G team, but alas.

I really really hope everyone plays for Joe...and for Hendon...and all these vets that turned things around. They deserve this. Plus it's Clemson, probably the 2nd/3rd best team of the decade they grew up in. They should view this like Bama-lite and want to go win it, for the clout if nothing else.

Georgia will absolutely boatrace Ohio State
Not so fast my BearCat. They just gave up an absurd number of passing yards to LSU. OSU has the kind of offense that could do the same. We did too had we not 1) missed a crazy number of wide open shots, 2) killed our own drives by being overly affected by the home crowd, and 3) had a 2nd half rainstorm.

That SECCG game was REALLY wonky...I mean easily a 17 pt swing on nothing but a returned FG and INT off a helmet bounce.

OSU can pull it off, but they need to start fast and take the crowd out of it. This UGA team is far from invincible.

I'm saying compared to us playing Clemson. I get everyone here is excited, but I'd much rather player K-State. Call me scared, that's fine, but again, Id rather have a much easier win for the future of the program and momentum.

I don't think this game has any true bearing on the momentum of the program. Butch beat a decent Nebraska team to finish the 2016 cycle, getting me excited that we were set up to reload rather than rebuild in 2017. Conversely, Clemson once lost the Orange Bowl 70-33 to West Virginia, right at the start of their current run.

The bowl game is great exposure for the program and worth celebrating. Whatever the outcome, learn from it and move on!

Agreed. It's just gross UT-style luck, after 7+ years of wishing we could play them...we suddenly do, and literally everything is against us roster wise. It's so sick.

Ofc we can win. Obviously. But the odds are now stacked against us. Clemson finally found their QB and we lost our best QB by a mile. Ridiculous luck 🤢🤮

Bama has only recently had elite qb play. Before Hurts, they had the most average qbs in terms of talent but were very good at being game managers. JP Wilson, McElroy and McCarron were not that great they just didn’t f it up for their team.
Yeah they were a more traditional run focused team back in those earlier years with a great defense. Essentially the style Pruitt was trying to bring here 🤦🏾‍♂️.
