ok, thanks for clarifying. makes sense now.

Yeah was a bit disappointing...and of course ESPN wasn't paying attention at all. So by the time they even bothered to cut away from Hart & Rodgers eating ice cream sandwiches to show the series TJ had one of the worst hand offs in the RPO I've ever seen causing a JWT fumble.

It's pretty clear though... Hooker & Milton either could be starting for us. Then a very big step down to the rest of the QB room.

I think Nico is pushing to be QB 2 next season unless TJ drastically improves. And I'm aware it was just a series with only a few snaps...but he's definitely not pushing to take Milton's spot.

Re watched highlights. Is TJ really that far down the list at QB? That's surprising.

Also, really no push at all on DL, did see we would have had a nice sack had Balls Tate not held during their TD.

Positives, Keyton and Hyatt have come along nicely. Oline played well. RB's looks good. Secondary is better than I thought.

But I think that defense will be a liability.

When I first read that, I was wondering "who is Balls Tate?"

One thing that also jumped out.

Balls Tate's HB was solid, 6' 225. And, while he had a few nice runs, we held him in check - most of game.

That is encouraging for this defense.
Be surprised if he stays at Ball State. Think he finds a home in the big 10 next year. He's a freak. Won Mr. Football in Indiana.

Anyone know the payout of the 16 game parlay from last night (if there was one).

I picked all the games correctly, butttttt decided against betting, sad day.
sigh, sports betting.

I read the casino here Breeestul NETS about 4 million per month, which is only bare bones. Generated 12 mill, and, created more than 37 total.... in a month.

That is a crap ton of income from an area with one of the lowest total incomes in Virginia.

Is it good or bad? I dunno, I just know as middle class earner, Id prefer to see a consistent ROI than gambling.

To each his own though, good luck.

hold on hold on, I didn't bet, I was just curious.

Most of my "play" money goes into crypto and stocks

Jalen Hyatt catches the first pass and scores, but is pretty much a ghost the rest of the game. Walker Merrill jukes the CB out of his shoes and is wide open for a TD. Wondering if Walker starts getting more chances. I'm not sold on Jalen in the slot just yet.

Oh I think necks year its clearly Milton, GM, then transfer.

I think Huepel goes after a proven guy, and lets the others compete. QB is too important to arbitrarily throw some slap nut frosh out there, Nico or not.

Gotta reevaluate after Pitt. Seemed like we kept our vertical game vanilla as possible and that's Hyatt's strong-suit.

I always had a consistent ROI…. Just can’t bet off emotions….. one year….. I sent in 150 dollars and won 23,000 by the end of the year….. never had a season end in the negative. I don’t gamble anymore bc i would rather spend time with my kids.

its crazy, we have two heavily lauded frosh. and i didnt see one iota of qb being in danger of a sack, what I did see was blitzing every play.

Now, BY did redirect a couple times.
You saw blitzing every play? We haven’t begun to dig into our bag of blitz combos.
the qb was getting the ball out with short routes all night. There was no time to get to him.

This WR group is a bit different...cause really you got 3 guys that are basically the same WR with Tillman, Bru, Keyton. All big guys that can punish smaller corners but don't necessarily have the speed to just run by them.

Hyatt's speed hasn't really flashed yet on field...not sure why that is, but some speed guys need a running start and some have explosive first steps.

Holiday & White both seem to be smaller guys with great explosive first steps, but will be interesting to see if they can shake physical SEC style coverage to really showcase it.

I think Walker Merrill may very well be the most interesting WR on the squad. He legit smoked his defender a few times, one was going to be a deep TD but the defender held him and the other was an easy TD. He seems to have the size/strength to be capable of handling physical defenders and then still has enough explosiveness to get by them too.

I'll hold judgement until seeing more games, but so far Pope as the WR coach doesn't appear to be a downgrade...seemed like more players were ready to step in and play than we had last year.
