So this may ruffle some of the VOL faithful feathers.

I know a couple sports writers and I’ve asked them recently what they thought about the VOLS this year and it seems like it’s lining up with what’s happening as far as the Polls, and other awards.

Seems as tho they think TN runs a gimmick offense and that defenses next year will shut down TN and we will go back to being a 6-7 win team. Was told they think CH offense won’t last and that teams will go back and watch the Ga and SC games and see how to play press coverage on D.

So there ya go. Just food for thought on what a couple of National guys think.

Unless the rules are changed that prevent us from playing fast on offense, we're golden. Saban tried to lobby the NCAA to keep fast pace offenses out of the game because he was concerned about injuries to his defensive players. What a wank :):). If our opponents have the horses to play press coverage, more power to them :):)

If we actually are interested in Hartman does that mean we are expecting Jackson or Milton to transfer or does that mean we just want to have a real qb battle next fall
Need a decent insurance policy in case of injury. Milton didn't last 3-4 games the last time, and I don't know why people have forgotten that.

Who knows what Hartman could do in Heupels hands? I think Caoach could squeeze some good production out of him.

We scored 38 points on USCe. Is that considered bad now?

Also I think we take a step back as well. HH was the man. Still would think 8-4 as a floor next year.

But as soon as Nico is ready, they gon’ learn.
Meh...I think MetalVolunteer's buddies figured SCs defense was "successful" since we didn't give them a 50+ burger for supper that night.

That might be one of the stupidest things I have seen. Nobody besides UGA "stopped" us and we did more "stopping" ourselves. If Hooker had not missed wide open shots in that game we would have dropped 30+...and that's not even counting the penalties and other dumb miscues that slowed the juggernaut.

UGAs vaunted (also cheating as hell and got completely away with it for some reason) defense was lucky that despite the kany self inflicted wounds that they didn't get 30+ dropped on them.

It depends on what the staff feels about Jackson and the possibility of getting Nico ready…… if they like all three options then I doubt we bring on another qb.

That's about the only way I'd be enticed to watch that game!

It is not the guy who wrote the article. Apparently vol fans seem to be tweeting him. So now he's just trolling them. He added the ESPN stuff in his bio after he started getting messages.

I thought the same at first but it is him. Look at who follows him: ESPN College Gameday account, Joe Schad, JOSH PATE, and Chris Low. And the guy has 32k followers. It’s him.

Also, for those following, the article has been corrected.. for the national TD leader at least. The 8 straight 100+ yard games part hasn’t been.

We will learn a lot about CJH next year, maybe even during the bowl game. Clemson will have the DBs to play the same way and will he learn how to counter it is what I am looking for. This may explain the talk of them looking for more bigger WRs.
If Hooker hadn't missed his wide open shots against UGA then what are you saying?

Bottom line...despite a heavily rattled OL putting the offense behind the 8 ball all freaking day....we still should have hung 30+ on the best defense CFB money can buy..if Hooker just hits the open shots he did get.
