The TSSAA has now passed the rule that allows NIL deals for Tennessee High School Students. It is supposed to allow players to be paid for lessons or Clinics but could be used to sway a player to transfer from one school to another as long as the school is not involved. Per The Nashville Tennessean.

Schools are already involved in transfers… will get worse now probably.

I know just like everybody else does this has been happening for years, mainly through tuition to private schools and summer jobs and so on but I guess they decided just to make it legal. Everything is about winning and a dollar in sports nowadays (or always) so I suppose we need to just get used to it.....or stop watching

You have to be so blind to think Max Duggan was the best QB in college football this year. Sheesh.

Yeah seems many of these awards are all about popularity and who the media wants to win vs who actually deserves to win. So many of these pundits that are involved with selections don’t even watch the games.

Blake Corum for instance should have won the Doak Walker award imo but they gave it to Robinson.

If I'm reading it correctly Boosters cannot give any NIL deal and they cannot represent their school in anyway shape or form

Part of the article:

"What if a parent offers an athlete the chance to move to another school and receive an NIL sponsorship as long as that athlete transfers. Reeves said by rule, that is permitted as long as the school is not involved."
