if Harrison didnt have the last name he has would he get the same pass from everybody? they just say "oh he will be the better nfl receiver" like its a forgone conclusion. Im guessing part of it is the name?

Similar to Arch, he's a Manning so he's number 1 to these services no matter what happens. Even though he looks to be playing a bunch of middle school size kids every single week and frequently has terrible games against that competition. Lets see what Harrison does when he plays real teams. Jalin has been doing it.

i dont believe Harrison will be better though.

I think this is the perfect example of why it should not.

Exactly Newt! I mean, we'd never have this.

It's not really hypothetical when our baseball team and fanbase got scolded because of one middle finger.

And before you get started, pointing out hypocracy does not make one a victim. I don't care about what Williams did just like I didn't care about our baseball team's attitude. What I do find ridiculous is the media framing our team like classless punks, and then framing Williams like a competitor with an edge.

Very much is hypothetical bc the comparison you’re attempting to make is between two things that aren’t the exact same. If Caleb Williams was running around flipping dudes off after big plays then ok, compare that to our baseball team. Otherwise, it’s hypothetical.

OSU fans are the worst. That dude literally compared ND and Iowa to Bama and LSU. That’s all I needed to see when seeing how delusional they are. I hope Georgia and TCU torch those big ten clowns.

When you’re not actually in the conference you just don’t know…but in the same sentence they’ll acknowledge that Ohio st and Michigan are the two best teams in the big 10😂😂 meanwhile we have bama, lsu,Georgia,Tennessee,Florida,Auburn and A&M and all of these teams have had their fair share of success through different periods..Michigan and Ohio st can’t say the same.it’s just those 2 teams every year.no comparison

To you. Other people dont care. The world obviously does not revolve around the south.
It has nothing to do with the south. It's the definition of integrity. To each his own. Paint his nails however he wants. But he shouldn't receive an award that not only looks at on-field accomplishments but also at moral character.

Which is entirely subjective.

I honestly don't think Jalin can improve his draft potential if he comes back next year. I don't think it will be higher than it is now. It will be difficult for him to repeat this type of year, especially without Hendon. However, if the Spyre money is as good as it seems to be, then I think that is a great option. At this point, what is best for Jalin is what I am hoping for.

Hyatt’s not coming back, guys. He’s going in the 1st or 2nd round and next fall the QB situation isnt set in stone. Now if Hooker had another year he might return but still doubtful.
Yeah, he's pro-bound for sure.

Whenever he signed the deal with Hyatt I thought he MIGHT play in the bowl game as some satisfier of the contract, but the more that I think about it, it's a farewell gift for his teammates and Vol family.

Sure but a 4 year 11m contract > 1 year 3m contract.

There's no guarantee he replicates this performance. Question mark at QB. Potential injuries.

If he's promised a first round pick then he needs to go.

There are no promises in the NFL draft and the difference between 1st and 2nd is about 3 million dollars over the life of the contract

Also,

If Hyatt comes back, he's still going to put up great numbers, has the Award on his back, and will get drafted either way no later than the 2nd round whether he goes or stays... We've all seen that maybe it's not such a bad thing not to be the first or second WR picked, you usually go to a dirt team... Come back, make NIL money, work on your craft, you know you'll get drafted high, then go show out and make a good team where you can shine but not have the pressure at first of carrying a bad team...

Just my biased thoughts on wanting to justify him coming back--- If he can torch secondarys this season, he'll do the same next, and have a guy that COULD and SHOULD hit him in stride no matter the distance with that cannon of an arm...

Has absolutely nothing to do with production honestly.

If he tears up his knee in the first game or during fall camp then what?

At least if you get drafted you've got guaranteed money already.

Hyatt definitely deserved it, but I do think Harrison will be the better receiver long term.
Why? Hyatt has a really slippery+pure nasty badass speed quality that Harrison doesn't. I think Harrison maybe has a little better hands and a little better body control, but those are things that Hyatt can get even better at....while Hyatts greatest strengths are things that can't be learned.

Why can't they both be great, just like Ced and Hyatt are both great?

He should go, but as the Biletnikoff winner he should be able to get a large insurance policy if he stays.

ESPN did just call us the Taco Bell best people alive or whatever it was so I'm kind of over the "they're being mean to us" narrative anyway

Last 3 championships were SEC teams, none of them were repeat teams.

I don't know how much more clear it can be that the SEC is just different.

Also...can anyone, ANYWHERE, actually prove a NIL worth 3m a year has been signed?
