Just watched the condensed version of the Pitt game. Here are my thoughts:
- Slovis does a good job over the middle of the field.
- He seemed to hold on to the ball too long a few times. I think we could make up for the lack of sacks last week in this one.
- He also made a couple of plays with his feet, but he certainly isn’t dangerous.
- Their DL look pretty good. A couple of guys can be game changers on the outside.

- They struggled with things we are very good at.
- inside zone and counter ate them up in the second half.
- played a lot of man and their corners had trouble with Ford-Wheaton. We have two guys as big and strong as he is.
- Further, corners seemed small and didn’t win many 50/50 balls.

In all, I think we are going to score more than last year. McCoy and Tillman are gonna eat. Small and Wright are gonna wear them down up the middle. 5+ 10 yard runs. On the other hand, their offense will score points. I think we will be frustrated by their ability to make plays over the middle. I’m not sure how well we will manage against the run. They were Jekyll and Hyde against WVU.

Vols win, but they have the ability to keep it close all game.

Lol. Heisman candidate that lost his job last year and had one decent game against a terrible team? Lost his job at Michigan too. Come on man. Just stop. Nico is the best QB prospect we have had in years. He is more talented than Milton. There is a reason Milton is second string.
He is not more talented than Milton, but he may well be a much better QB in the end...we will see.

Hooker lost his job too...I guess that means he will always suck too....oh wait..

Lady at the sports store said we were wearing the dark mode against Akron.

She said it was announced, but I wonder if she just has some insider Intel because a store like that would wanna know so they could plan for that.

Why would we wear Dark Mode vs Akron? She is definitely 🐂💩ing you.

Boone is a fun town. Had a lot friends that went there so went to campus almost a dozen times or so to visit. Got drunk at a party near the stadium one night and ended up challenging someone to a race from endzone to endzone. I won and lost all at once as running 100 yards on a alcohol filled stomach was not smart 😂
Did Nebraska offer you a scholarship afterward?

Joe Burrow went to Ohio State not Michigan... oh, you were talking about Milton...

He's right, he has the talent to be a Heisman candidate if he puts it all together. The physical tools are there. Losing the job in the past means nothing. Jordan famously didn't make the basketball team in high school. I guess UNC shouldn't have given him a scholarship? I bet before the draft NBA GMs said, "Well he's talented but he didn't make his high school basketball team once. No way he can win league MVP and multiple championships with that on his record."

So Milton never put it together in Ann Arbor and wasn't fully prepared or settled down last year? He got injured and Hooker stepped in and became a star and now he's the backup. Those facts don't mean he can't have an incredible season next year and be the starter.
All that seems obvious to me, but I guess some folks just can't see past their nose.

If we start guaranteeing starting spots to HS QBs that haven't done 💩 yet...we are screwed.

I feel confident in this offense, not 59 points confident. But we have a lot of weapons.

Yes, anytime in last 15 yarrs anytime someone says 'hey check out their secondary or DL,' we always struggle.

But i really do think our Oline is a strength. HH can also make people pay.

Jmo but if we pressure Slovis consistently and protect HH, we'll win walking away. Even if we only can protect HH, we should win semi-comfortably.

If neither happens, it could be a close one till the end and we could lose, sure.

It appears both our rushing attack and rushing defense are superior to theirs. It will come down to who can protect their QB, they will need to do so much better than us while pressuring ours much better. Jmo

Hopefully it will encourage more talent to go to 20 possible teams that may make the playoffs than to 4 or 5. Because the top players have went to those because that’s their only shot to experience the playoffs even if they are not the starter. It’s ridiculous the amount of talent AL, GA and OSU have. So if you’re just wanting to watch the most talented teams play then don’t watch until the last game. But it’s going to be exciting to watch the other teams at least get a shot to play for it. At first the top 4 will still have the advantage with talent and first round bye, but it should get more competitive as the years go by. Anything is better than this. I don’t even watch it anymore.
Agreed

You lose more than one game and it’ll mean SOMETHING! Stakes get higher and you can’t coast because that trap game costs more. Pining for the good ole days when the good ole boys decided the champs pre-season and worked towards that narrative all year long died for me long ago. Competition has never hurt the game.
Thank you for the common sense truth...I ALWAYS hated that CFB operated like has...bunch of subjective 🦬💩.

It was never an even scale during the regular season. Oklahoma lost to Miami during the REGULAR SEASON and still played for the NC. Both Penn State and Auburn had epic undefeated seasons and never sniffed the championship. How was their regular seasons rewarded? The good ole boys decided before the season started and made the numbers work towards that.
So much truth..
