First time in a long time I feel like our coaches can out-scheme and out-coach whoever we're playing.I love having a coach and team that runs a fun, efficient offense.
Clemson looks just like the Vols under Pruitt.
Boring. Methodical. No creativity. No real scheme or weakness they are attacking.
Love our new offense and creativity.
Every decision doesn't have to be right, but your reasoning should always make sense.
Clemson was on, like, their own 35. He should have jogged over to Clemson's sideline and dared Dabo to go for it. Double dog.
You are that terrified of this offense? Really??
I'll buy this. But what it really told me is he has no confidence in his offense in that situation. His explanation was interesting. It reminded me when Butch called a TO on 4th down against maybe McElwain (maybe twice). McElwain changed his mind about punting, and they got the first down. If you coach long enough, you won’t be perfect with your decisions.
I think it might be happening. I’ve been saying it all off-season…Dabo messed up promoting analysts. He needed to go hire some proven coordinators but instead he kept it in-house. Too many yes men on that staff. Offense is garbage. If it wasn’t for their elite talent on DL they’d be looking at a 7-5 season in a bad conference.God I would love if 2021 and 2022 were the start of Clemson's ending
I'd generally agree, except. . . these coaches are supposed to be the most elite coaches in the sport. When theyre making millions of dollars a year, those types of quick, accurate decisions are expected. They were on their own 43. I don’t care to defend that specific decision, but I do believe fans nitpick decisions like this when humans aren’t going to always get it right when making decisions within seconds/minutes.
I think had there not been the additional time before the 4th down play, that both coaches could then use to think about their next move, he probably does call the to. But with the extra time he hedged his bet and went the safer route.I'd generally agree, except. . . these coaches are supposed to be the most elite coaches in the sport. Yeah, which wouldn't be so bad if it was the only clock mismanagement, but now he's needlessly blown through 2 timeouts in the 3rd qtr.I think had there not been the additional time before the 4th down play, that both coaches could then use to think about their next move, he probably does call the to. I'm the end... They got out of the half without anything bad happening, which is a win, sort of.
