Hopefully Tennessee recruiting picks back up tomorrow with Gibson. Landing him and then Matthews on Monday would be very nice. Still need more DL and OL.

As for Florida, Napier is doing well on the recruiting trail. It'll be interesting to see if all those kids stick if UF struggles on the field this year.

who cares about florida?

And there are more than a few indicators that either a) we never had a recession or b) the worst is already behind us. By technical definition Q2 and Q3 will “officially” land us in recession territory but many inflation indicators have already turned over. I’m not even saying that I think a recession isn’t going to come but I don’t see a lot to believe that it’s going to be some “worst of all time” status.

I said "worst we've seen in a while", as in recent history, not worst of all time. Opinions I respect think so. Time will tell. Then again, we may just redefine a recession as 6 or 8 quarters, and then say we never had one.

It’s still a long way to go. There will be several guys flipping from now to December

Meh, everyone is butthurt bc they are ahead of us in team rankings.

Get best players you can get to fit your system.
I didn't express butthurt, but I think you're feeling some. Does it suck that they jumped us? Sure. But there's still a season to play and 4 months to go until anyone can sign an NLI.

I think we can discuss our own recruiting and needs without being "butthurt". If we land Gibson and Matthews, we're good at CB. That just leaves OL and DL as our big needs in this class. And we're not bad at OL, just need another OT, and maybe another IOL.

He killed it at La-Lafayette, which is a pretty trash program. Don't get the people thinking he can't coach.

We do this with every Florida coach. We talk about how they're going to flame out and then they all end up leaving or getting fired without ever having lost to us (except for that one guy). I'm not falling for it again.
Just because we have had bad coaches doesn’t mean that they have not also. As you said, they are fired.

3 weeks? That's it? 4 weeks + company holidays should be your minimum ask if they need you more than you need them. Heck, I'm a nobody and I get more than 3 weeks.
That's a lot for new folks. At least from my experience, 2 is about standard...then it grows to 3 and 4, maybe 5, over some years.

They have 11 company holidays..but only start at ONE week pto lol.

It was my headhunter that suggested 3 weeks. Would be happy to push for 4...but idk if that's pushing it too much...4x their standard. Guess we'll see.

But I'll also be pushing for more WFH and progressive scheduling (4 tens or 4 9s + 1/2 day Friday). They're still pretty old school...in the office all 5 days, 8x5 scheduling. I've done too much remote work and 4 10s to go back I think lol

Butch was pretty decent at Cincinnati and he sucked here even with talent. Napier was good at wherever school he came from but the SEC is a different monster. Gator fans will be ready to fire him when Heup rolls them.
