For now. Lots of major companies have announced hiring freezes or layoffs, and the coming recession will likely be the worst we've seen for a while. Overpaid new guys may be the first to go when this flips, and it will.

My post wasn't very clear and you worded it much better.
That was the dreaded "R" word in my post..recession. And dont give up tenure was in reference to being the first to be let go.
Play on words because our current administration cannot seem to admit what defines one.
