I think Tyson vs Ali would've played out similarly to Frasier vs Ali, but the one where Frasier KO'd Ali. Tyson was a quicker and harder punching version of Frasier. Unlike Frasier, though, Tyson had a more effective peek a boo style that offered better defense. Foreman and Tyson were nothing alike. Foreman was a giant brute who abandoned fundamentals and threw slow, sweeping haymakers until he gassed out verses Ali. Tyson in his short prime was a very strict fundamental fighter. I believe he would have eventually worked his way inside and landed the big short punches. 1986-1989 Tyson was really, really good. Not just a brute.
One of, if not the, smartest fighter of all time. No, not just a brute...far from it. Those years...Tyson may have TRULY, been the greatest of all time, and that goes for pound for pound, as well.

mike and joe were about as similar as mike and george. He didn't fight inside and Ali would have dominated him in the clinch. He didn't have elite power, but he did have elite strength inside, and Mike did not.

George was a very good fundamental boxer who's power corrupted even his corner into being lazy. They did him no favors in the Ali fight, basically telling him to just keep punching.
Ali is the greatest athlete of my lifetime taking on what he did both in and out the ring: pure courage. And I've been around for awhile. Not sure anyone else comes close.

Thirteen points after 17 minutes in the first half. Yikes. I honestly thought this team was above a 'crud' performance like against KY with great senior leadership. I was wrong. Good to get this win.

They moved up now 12 spots in offensive efficiency on KenPom. Crazy after the start, but that’s why you play 40 minutes.

I honestly think the downfall of Mike Tyson began with the death of Cus D'Amato in 1985. Cus was a voice of reason, and when that was gone, that left people like Don King and Robin Givens.

Mike Tyson at the top of his game was the baddest man on the planet.
he would have been hell on wheels in MMA. He was a bad man, yes. But he wasnt built to go the distance. Cassius was perfect blend of balance, speed, strength, intelligence, conditioning, length, and endurance.

Tyson could go the distance fine in his prime. He just had the power to not have to go the distance.

Whaaaaaat. Naw.

Tyson was spectacular before he lost the magic.

Ali would have made him look foolish. Different era. Different class of fighter.
