I can't say that I disagree with a couple of those. They're not really critical of Hyatt. The playoffs have absolutely diminished the bowls, even the NY6. This is also not the same team that beat Bama.

The NY6 bowls will increase back in value with a playoff expansion. Makes the postseason meaningful for far more teams and makes those historically significant bowls a big deal again. The lower tier bowls will remain lower tier.

We were seeing opt outs in the BCS era too. I think this would be happening at an increasing rate regardless if we'd gone to a playoff.
