Looked this up. Was not covered in my mandatory philosophy class, or at least I wasn't paying attention because I thought philosophy was stupid back then. Nearly 25 years of life later and a daughter that is fascinated by it has made it much more interesting.

Educated and dont know zeno's paradox?

I'm don't really have any odd phobias, but the phobias I do have are pretty severe. I'm generally not claustrophobic, but something about caves and the tiny cracks people crawl through really makes my hands sweat thinking about it. Heights have a similar physical effect on me. These stories are an absolute nightmare scenario for me. Only thing worse would be underwater or in a flooding cave.

I'll see if I can find a documentary on Mount Gambler incident.

Edit: sheesh, it's underwater. What a nightmare scenario. Watching now.
Why are you watching? 😳

You should def NOT watch specials on free underwater cave diving in Bahamas.

Perhaps Im still chapped that out of 11,000,000 division crowns my Bravos have two WS'.
The Braves are set up better now. Willing to spend and they have a lot of good players signed for a long time. They’ll get a few more championships IMO in the next 10 years. The new GM is very smart with the payroll.

Were you cited?

Did you go to an ortho to whom you were referred by your attorneys?

No I was not cited which is huge. The ER referred me to the orthopedic but they have been great. Very thorough in recording all pain and all the ways that my life is different and will be going forward. I'm receiving treatment twice a week for 8 weeks to determine if I need surgery, injections and what the expected impact on my quality of life will be. The ortho wants me in pain management and set up an appointment for this Tuesday....I'm reluctant about that but I realize that it is probably necessary for the best outcome of my case.

I was thinking they were being letting Freddy go.

Is your treatment running through insurance or on a lien?

So very sorry to hear about it. Obviously it was incredibly irresponsible of the woman who stopped. I hope you fully heal and find the legal help you need.

Thanks Byron. I'll get through this but it's definitely a bummer. I accept that I could have probably reacted differently and keep replaying what I remember but it happened so fast. I'm not one to usually sue but everything I read in the days immediately after indicated at least protection by attorney and they accepted. I found out the extent of my injuries a week later, their lasting effects and how low the rate of survival is in that kind of crash I was shocked.

I thought it was just shredded soft tissue and bruised ribs at first. The ortho came in the day after my MRI and asked me how the hell I was sitting in front of him and back at work....he then explained the damage to my back/neck. The attorneys were shocked too and said that the case was much different now. I've read that settlements for one herniated disc can be 50-350k. I have no idea what to expect with the multiple I have plus the fractured spine but I realize that it will be mitigated by any liability assessed to me. I just refuse to accept that it was completely my fault. I know that I would never do what the other driver did and they had a much less severe impact. I was told by police that their injuries were not serious but I also thought mine weren't immediately after. Just glad nobody died and my family was not in the car.

Yep. Manny had issues on issues, but they were covered up by his sheer talent.

Zack Greinke takes the cake, though. But his story is more tragic. I’ve lived my entire life seeing that level of mental illness and anxiety eat a person alive in my family. A lot of people are shocked by Greinke’s actions, like retiring to be a landscaper… but they all make sense to me seeing his condition up close and personal.

Greinke is joining the Royals next season.

He said thanks Byron. 😂

good lord man. Glad you're ok. Did she burn rubber? If there were tire marks from her slamming on the brakes, you might be good in court. Not a lawyer but it would seem unreasonable to say that you should be half a mile back cause she's a dumbass. That's not how it should work. We should be able to trust each other on the road for efficiency and safety.

Thanks 88. I've been back at the scene and saw tire marks but it's hard to remember. I never tailgate people but it's hard to judge what people are doing sometimes. You don't expect to come up on someone who is being indecisive and treating a 60 mph section of highway like it is a parking lot. I will say that the investigator irritated me a bit by trying to say that he knew the section of Highway and that she could have seen a mile in front of her to the wreck. I don't care if it looks straight on a map, you aren't seeying a mile up a two-lane highway in the middle of the woods at night. I went out and stood at the spot of the wreck and took pictures both ways and sent them to him asking him how far he could see. You're lucky to see a quarter mile with the dips and slight curves. FL may be mostly flat but a couple of gentle hills directly around the crash site completely change the view.
