The wife and I are empty nesters and I must say, "Good riddance to the entitled, selfish, ingrates. The wife and I are moving to the beach to spend their inheritance."

Just kidding. Your post hits me in the feelz too. I miss what we "had" at each relationship stage, and love what we have at this stage. I am incredibly proud of our kids...er... adults. I miss having them all to ourselves, but am excited to see what they have become and are becoming when given to the world.

(We'll still probably move to the beach and spend their inheritance, though.)

My youngest is in 8th grade this year....In roughly 5 years my wife will be looking at beach houses/condos. I will need a third job to afford our retirement! lol

That’s not at all what I said. Me questioning what I think I would do if I were a potential first round pick that’s just short of a school record does not equal me thinking he made the wrong decision. That’s also why I said “but we’re talking millions of dollars on the line”.. meaning, I think I’d want to play, doesn’t mean I would.

I said multiple times yesterday that I think it was a tough decision but that he made the right decision and he did so with a very good support group around him.
Calm down. I wasn't saying you were. Hence the "anyone." But really I meant Mcgill.

Are we sure he's going to kill it though. He didn't exactly set the world on fire at Louisville or Missouri St. It's been over a decade since his time at Arky. Let's see what happens first. It's been awhile since he's called ball at this level.

Look at his records again. He only had one terrible year at Louisville- the year he was fired.

He took over a Missouri State team that had been 1-10. Went 5-5, 8-4, and 5-6…went to 2 FCS playoffs and played a couple of FBS teams really tough. They play in the same conference as both North Dakota schools, South Dakota, and Southern Illinois- all good football programs.

Talks with Jimbo must not have gotten very far. I know he was under consideration for the A&M OC job as well but sounds like either he or Jimbo wasn’t keen for the move in the end.

He also has 2 of the 3 requirements for consideration of having his jersey retired. In TN’s last four games, he scored 1 TD. He needed 6 more TDs to tie for career leader in receiving TDs. He would have needed to play next year to set some career records.

Must complete 3 of the following for consideration:
  • SEC Player of the Year
  • National Award (Player of the Year, Sullivan, or similar honor) - Biletnikoff winner
  • First-Team All-American - AP 1st team
  • Career record holder in a significant category (as determined by the committee) at the UT, SEC, or national level upon completion of career - needs 1,045 more yards or 6 more TDs to tie the all-time career leaders for receiving TDs.
  • National championship during tenure
I really don't like the jersey numbers being permanently retired. I think the service men from the WWII era should be the only ones retired. I want to see 45, 16, 92 , and 91 on the field again. Maybe make those numbers and now the #11 team captains numbers or team leaders numbers, if that's what the player chooses.... or just regular numbers. Keep Majors, Manning, White, and Atkins names in Neyland but release the numbers.

Really think he made himself significantly more money with his success this year. I’m not sure what round he was projected to be drafted at the start the year but you have to think he moved up quite a bit.
Absolutely. He made his money during the Bama game. Will Anderson was a non factor during that game.

Big Donde, imo.

Name a Snowplow Contest

Some really funny names on there:
*Brinestone Plowboy
*Big Leplowski
Lol
I think I need to name our Mt. Juliet vacuum sweeper truck. Nominations?

My vote is Monica.

Seriously tho, we have snow plows too. I'll take nominations here for the vac sweeper or the plow trucks. FYI, we run the vac sweeper daily, so it'll get more exposure.
