Who is Steve Robertson?
If I'm not mistaken, he's the one who blew the lid off the Freeze investigation, regarding hookers, at Ole Piss. He's a huge Mississippi State fan who was writing a book about Freeze and his NCAA issues. He requested his phone records through an open records request in Mississippi. Once he received the phone records, he did his research and found the 800 number kept popping up during Freezes recruiting trips to Florida. He called the number and the rest is history. To his credit, he gave the information to the Ole Piss administrators and let them take action. I could be wrong but I think it was Steve Robertson

Think thats great. Why you feel the need to overshare on the internet I don't get but don't expect to be beyond a little criticism for it. Comes with the territory.

But probably for the same reason you're sharing your feelings on......sharing your feelings?

Everyone here is essentially here cuz of Tennessee football. That’s what brought you here. But we have formed great relationships with posters over time. some share personal life experience, some share finished authored books. Neither is why we are here but it’s included.

I know, and it sucks. Nothing I hate more than some debbie-downer bull$hit on my VOLS football forum.

Maybe I’m overstepping, but I feel the vast majority of this board are funny, intelligent and likable people who like to interact and share personal experiences and thoughts. No one should ever have to apologize for those qualities.
I am! I am amazingly funny, intelligent, and likable. I can pull off short shorts with white boots and shades too.

I want to apologize for being just that awesome and more.

I think CJH could have gotten a whole lot more out of him. He seemed to have coaches that wanted to showcase his weaknesses. But not interested in beating a dead horse.

I think his biggest mistake was not following Tyson Helton to Western Kentucky. He essentially tried to learn 4 different offensive systems in his 6 years in college. His best year here was with Helton's offense and he could have transferred to stay with him and would have likely had 2 great years there.

You brought the dead horse in the building and it's bout to be beat!

JG would maybe be respectable for Heupel. JG would have been recruited over pretty quickly if Heup were here.

All of it is why I keep coming back. I love hearing about yalls successes, heartfelt memories/ emotions and dog pictures. Do I find them all to my taste, no, but I just keep scrolling cuz there is someone who will.

That's him. Long time MSU writer and fan. Provides content for MSU's 247 page, which I believe was their original page like Gridscape used to be for UT.

Please do not disrespect the fine ladies and gentlemen in this forum. This is not the VOLS football forum, it's the VOLS RECRUITING FORUM. Nothing alike. Nothing remotely similar. They live in their own he!! over there....and it's scary!!lol. Copperheads have nothing on those jokers!

Transfer Portal soapbox:

Before you come at me, I think a day 1 starter on the edge or cb would be a massive win. We came close with Verse.. looking back that one stings.

However, none of the "most successful" transfer portal teams made it to the playoffs. None of the top 10 "best" transfer players made it to the playoffs. The center from Michigan (Rimington and Outland winner) and a CB from OSU were the top 25 transfers who made it. USC showed that they can cut corners and come close to a CFP, but they still didn't and they had the #1 transfer class.

Turns out you still have to have recruiting depth to truly make a run. A successful transfer is probably going pro after the season, so you are renting the dude and your depth isn't getting game reps for the next year. Some you need to get your head out of your madden/ncaa dynasty mode.

So for the people with the 'grab all of the defensive transfers because any of them is an improvement'

What happens if you go all out for Denver Harris or these "big time transfers" and they never get out of complacent entitlement land. NIL Cap took a hit, bad look that your coaches couldn't develop a 'star', young guys didn't get game reps, and some of them probably portal out. Those freshmen that you just recruited for over 1.5yrs for a guy that MIGHT be good.. If he's as good as you want him to be, he'll go pro and you run into the same problem next year with less depth.. Fools gold man

So NCAA dynasty mode is to blame for the ones demanding we need all the transfers by last week ? 😂
