and aren’t the LVs like third in the SEC right now? 😂 Pat Summitt was a once in a lifetime coach and realistically it’s not the bar to use 😂.. I think if we replace Kelly, we’re gonna regret it.. she’s still a young coach

There are only 4 teams in the SEC with 6 or more wins the conference isn't very good and that's why only 2 teams are ranked right now.

And calling KJH a "young coach" is laughable, she's in her 19th season as a HC.

Ok you do you lol.. I’ve never actually followed them much

Because LV sports are very political at UT, and many believe she can turn it around and has earned the opportunity to do so. And Kellie is a former player who won three NCs, played for Pat, is beloved in the community and has a large, loud contingent of backers. The minute you talk about replacing her, there are battle lines drawn. So many sensitive issues to address, including diversity and LV legacy, and different opinions on who to hire. Many think some issues shouldn't be issues, but they are.

Be honest....do you think the Lady Vols would be better with a coach with no ties to the university? What I mean is that for both Warlick and Harper both being former players under Pat....that's got to be so much added pressure on them from upholding the legacy of Pat and also playing here .

19 years is a lot of experience…. There is no promise for the Lady Vols bc her recruiting is very poor…. She had one commit last year and no commits this year…. I like Kellie but it’s time to move on.
That’s fine, I don’t have a dog in this race 😂 I was just trying to see what the deal was lmao

Also...from previous experience whomever runs the twitter account for the LV bball team has a thin skin and will block you if there is any crumb of negativity in a tweet.

Well, the loud contingent of backers obviously have zero idea of what good basketball looks like. Tell them to go watch the men play a few games. Better yet, tell them to turn the TV on and watch SC, LSU, UConn play, and then honestly answer the question if they think we are remotely close to those programs. H2H against 2 of those clearly shows we are not. Better fundamental basketball is taught in HS than she has taught at TN. It’s sickening to watch.

Will never forget our impromptu visit last March. Absolutely incredible, even in poor weather lol. There were some pretty spectacular views when the clouds would open. I was in such awe I forgot to take a picture.

How does someone make an impromptu visit to Yosemite? It's kind of out in the middle of nowhere.

I'm all for doing it the right way. Every school and every coach should strive for such. But it also has to lead to success on the field and playing for championships. I'm not saying every year, but never winning a championship is not my idea of success. Success is being in the running for a conference championship and the potential of a national championship. Again, not necessarily every year, but more times than not.
Would you say that this year was an example of being..."in the running for a conference championship and the potential of a national championship?" While we didn't win either, I would say that we were in the running for both for the first time in over 20 years.

I think of recruiting like this. It’s a scale from the extreme of “this is the school I want to be at” to the extreme of “they are paying me the most money.” With the coaches they want guys that want to be at Tennessee and are willing to work for them. They are being honest and offering what they think the players deserve but are unwilling to get in a bidding war. This lgbo was talented enough to be able to help our team and led them to believe he wanted to be a Vol, but you could see him start moving toward the other end and appear to be chasing the highest bidder. OSU obviously convinced him he had an easier route to the playoffs. We could have way overpaid just to get a recruiting win to make the fans happy. Not the way these coaches are going to do “business” as people like to call it.
I agree with what you're saying. However, I also find the assumption that the only reason that we ever lose out on a recruit is that another program offered him more NIL money to be quite ridiculous.

We were. I cited this in a later post that this year gives me hope.
