Senior Bowl Day 2 Standouts:
The Darnell Wright Show
Darnell Wright did a great job emulating Sewell in Wednesdayâs practice. The power, the movement ability, the sheer aggression in attacking the defensive playersâeven in pass protection. Primarily playing right tackle, Wright absolutely dominated the 1-on-1 reps in the American team practice.
At 6-foot-5 and 342 pounds, Wright is a behemoth of a man. But heâs also, like Sewell, light on his feet and capable of making reach blocks and pulls. Generally projected as a second-round pick coming here, after what weâve seen in Mobile youâre going to see a ton of Wrightâs inclusion into the late first round of post-Senior Bowl mock drafts. And heâs earned it so far.
So glad to hear this. Happy for him!Senior Bowl Day 2 Standouts:

Freak called someone a troll??? Anyway someone could tell me who?I apologize for responding to an admitted troll who just did what you specify. My response was a waste of my own and the board's time. I will delete my post.
I only saw his post because I unblocked him last night to see who Freak himself was calling a troll in the basketball forum, and also in order to follow the string of his posts leading to Freak's observation. Forgot to re-ignore. Thanks for reminding me.
I won't see anyone do that anymore either
Thank you!Winning b2b conf tithe games and going to the playoffs?
This is a terrible take. By your logic... We failed in football too.
Basketball is as good and as healthy as it may have ever been at Tennessee right now. Complaining about Barnes and this program right now is the epitomy of just being spoiled and feeling entitled to... More.
I say... Enjoy it. I've seen "suck", and this ain't it.
GBO.
Literally none of that has anything to do with what I said. I pointed out that the majority of NIL in gymnastics is probably tied up into the Olympians. Whether or not they return to the Olympics during or after college is irrelevant. The majority of the money is still probably going to them if nothing else because their prior Olympic fame brings a lot of publicity to those teams and puts butts in seats. Their Olympic futures have nothing to do with that LOLBut will she be in the next Olympics? She very well might be because she is that talented, but most Olympians are young girls who have dedicated their lives and every waking hour to the sport. Then they retire from the national stage and go to college. My only point was that most are no longer Olympians. They're former Olympians.
And, it's not about being a smartass, it's about painting an accurate picture. In college, most of these young women aren't even close to competing at the level they were when they were on the national stage. An NCAA meet is nothing like the World Championships or the Olympics.
I can agree with some of that but at the time all the talk was about his failure in the tourneyâŠ. I donât think programs care about what seed you areâŠ. You better show the potential to win once you get there. His winning at such a high level here will help overlook any tourney failures⊠if he starts finishing lower in the SEC and has early exits⊠he wouldnât last too many years.I would argue that Barnes really wasnât fired at Texas for his March performance. It was his regular seasons getting to March. I did a deep dive on his career this week while I was home for winter weather.
In his last 4 years, in 2012, they were an 11 seed. In 2013, they missed the NCAAT for the only time. In 2014, they were a 7 seed, won the first game and lost to the 2 seed. In 2015, they were an 11 seed. He did exactly what the seed lines should have done. He wasnât expected to win as 11 seeds. But he didnât have enough success in the regular season to give himself a chance to succeed in March.
I donât think he got the guard play and got development from that position the last few years. His three highest recruits in the last 4 years were Cameron Ridley, Myles Turner, and Mick Kabongo. Ridley and Turner were PF/C. Kabongo left after 2 years. The other guards were 50-100 ranked players.
Big Orange Train? Il be honest donât think there are actual trolls in here. The only troll imo is the Hallie poster, whoever that is.Freak called someone a troll??? Anyway someone could tell me who?
It starts above him with Boyd and PlowmanâŠ.. without them placing an importance on athleticsâŠ. There would be no DWâŠ.. itâs a great time to be a Vol!!!Weâre lucky to have Heupel. Definitely but It all starts up top. AD White running the AD will be one of the best all time hires in Tennessee athletics history when everyone looks back 30 years.
I donât know why anyone would doubt Heupel on offense or defense right nowâŠ. Both units have outperformed where they should be at this pointâŠ. I trust every decision he makes.Following his Twitter, LOT of OL recruits mention him. Warren and Castles seem psyched. Maybe Heupel knows what heâs doingâŠagain.
