The record is broken. . .but. . . KC had already been on that list. . .

New streak addendum: the streak is alive, unless the team has already lost under those conditions.

I told my friends at the watch party I was at about that streak and two of my friends threw down a bet on it, nothing big, but still.. they weren’t happy with me afterwards lol

I'll be honest, the fact Hurts was a gump made me love him absolutely throwing a duck at the end so much more.
Bama fans hated Hurts and talked sh-t about him when he was Tua's backup. He almost lost the big game for them until he was pulled because Saban knew Hurts couldn't cut it, they gloated. And now they want to claim him. Well, two can play that game.

I credit all of his successful plays to him leaving Bama, and his ducks and faux pas to the lingering Bama stench.

That duck was solid Bammer.

This seems unbelievable

I did the math, Tennessee is 387

If we continue our 9+ win seasons with Heupel for 1 or 2 more years, we'll be back on these kinds of lists.

We had long two long stretches of very mediocre records -- 1975-1982 (48-42-2) and 2008-2021 (85-88). Hell, it's amazing we're even close to the programs on that list.

I'll temper the following statement with the caveat that having both JJJ and Phillips out on Wednesday (availability not yet announced) will make a negative impact on our ceiling:

This Tennessee hoops squad seems to play to the level of its opponents more often than not. We show up when the good teams come to play. I expect the Alabama game to be a hard fought effort by the boys in orange. Alabama has the resume to be the number one team in the country, but they can be inconsistent (see Oklahoma). If Tennessee can score like it did in the Missouri game, we'll be in that ball game.

To expand on this, if we averaged 8.5 wins per season in the two long stretches of mediocrity -- not an unreasonable expectation in my book -- our win total would be 55 wins higher which put us at 442 -- in the Michigan, Penn State, Nebraska, and Georgia group, where we should be.

14 years of averaging a losing record is just ridiculous and embarrassing for a program of this magnitude. Managerial ineptitude by UT's senior leadership.

Unfortunately for us it being a home game in TBA and us still being the #10 team in the country means it likely won't be a game they overlook. But if JJJ/Phillips don't play could mean Bama isn't quite as focused.

Now Bama will have to work after being handed that #1 ranking. Glad we got knocked down. We'll either get back up or continue to get trampled on at this point.

It's like that.
