It seems that has been an issue here under Barnes. The 2018-19 team was a pretty good shooting team overall but since then, it hasn't been very good. Barnes has got to try and recruit better shooters or early tournament exits and losing to bad teams will likely continue. It doesn't matter how good the D is if you can't shoot.

2018-19 ranked 6th in FG%
2019-20 ranked 207th in FG%
2020-21 ranked 184th in FG%
2021-22 ranked 216th in FG%
2022-23 ranked 274th in FG% (season still going)

Oscar has a future in the WWE if this basketball thing doesn't work out. Go look at the foul discrepancy and get back with me. KY as a team was the much more physical team and had way fewer fouls.

We are not a very aggressive offense…. We are ranked in the 100’s in FTA due to this reason…. If you want to go to the line…. That has to be fixed.

If memory serves correct… the 2018-19 teams were one of his worse defensively…. Could you imagine if that team played defense like this one?

50% more according to that graphic. I wonder where those numbers come from and what is included. I'm sure UGA is spending plenty on recruiting but blowing away all these high profile and wealthy programs is doubtful.

We are not a very aggressive offense…. We are ranked in the 100’s in FTA due to this reason…. If you want to go to the line…. That has to be fixed.

Why go to the basket when you get killed every time? They go to the basket and they blow the whistle and look for the closest Vol. It happend all day. It started with ZZ's first foul.

There will never be an excuse for shooting that poorly from the FT line. When they get home Rick needs to send them to hit 25 in a row before they can leave. The only reason you miss so often is because you don't practice it enough. I would think some of those guys with the 25 number would get plenty of practice. Also, whatever it takes they need someone you can count on each game to score next season.

They win big games. They just beat the number 1 team. It's a pet peeve of mine missing FT. There is never an excuse for not making at least 75 percent as a team, other than not practicing them.

I am sure it has been mentioned but it was obvious when Ky had 5 fouls and the Vols 1 early in 2nd half, on consecutive trips down ZZ gets 2 and Aidoo gets at least 1 (may have had another) and voila both teams have 5 fouls and 2 key Vols have 4 fouls and are sitting. There is a reason it is called corRupt

Defense will only carry you so far. Key could shoot well, until he came here. Vescovi has digressed - too beat up. JJJ has not played enough to know. Mashak can't make FT's. Nkamhoua is clanking the shots lately. Will not go far without scoring turning around.

Now that is an interesting stat - didn’t realize that, but doesn’t surprise me. You could say we knew who they were from the opening bell - losing to Colorado and dominating Kansas within the first 10 games of the season.

We have not 1 players that can driver and create their own shot or drive to break their D down. Ours drives and gets caught in the lane with nowhere to pass it or gets caught in the air with nowhere to pass it. Vescovi ,all he can do is hit a wide open 3 if he can get open or get a layup here and there. 4 years and he still cant dribble to create a shot. Mashack cant dribble or stay under the control when he drives and the same goes for J Phillips. Either Barnes cant develop shooters and make them good ball handlers or he is so caught up in having a good defense that he ruins them. We do not have one player that they can tell to put this team on his back and go get points. I like Barnes but he created this. He has to get updated with the current game today, this is not early 2000.
