Because Grand Canyon is a good team and we were rated at least partially based on performance last year, not what we are right now.

And the excuses come pouring in... I thought Vitello said this week our pitching rotation was going to better than last year? All the hype... #2 in the country... and get beat right out of the gate by two unranked teams... meanwhile all the other SEC teams/top 10 took care of business... but yes, we should come up with excuses cause UT... How about we are just not as good as least year and we got some biased hype and a ranking we probably don't deserve which is evident so far this weekend...

And yet they didn't crack the top 25... okay man... cool. So some people who apparently know a little about college baseball had at least 25 other teams ranked higher than GC... And we were ranked at just about the top... but yeah since they have some ranked players it's all good.... LMAO. We just didn't get it done for the second day in a row... that's all it bowls down to... we aren't a #2...

College Baseball is a 50+ game sport. Is Tennessee currently the 2nd best team with two guys in the lineup missing? No. Get those guys back and keep playing adding experience and I guarantee you the team will be more than fine at seasons end. Lost ALOT of production out of last years lineup.
