It's in the SEC's best interest to have elite basketball teams. Why would they intentionally torpedo Tennessee's season using the refs? What good does it do for the SEC to have Tennessee limping in as a 4 seed instead of positioned as a 2 seed? Tennessee has a huge fan base and the second best chances of any SEC team to make a deep run in the tourney getting the SEC more money from win shares. There is no conspiracy to use the refs to make Tennessee lose.

Good teams overcome and adapt to officiating. We haven't. We've lost these games because we can't close out, and we're missing two of best players. Blaming the refs is a just setting fire to a strawman.

Clearly you didn't get Arian Foster's clear message: each league has its own script. The refs, ADs, coaches, and players have to agree to it preseason.

College basketball is basically just glorified wrestling being played by athletic actors. So when you lose, it's because of the script. And when you win, you didn't actually win anything. UT didn't have a #1 team for a month when Grant was here. He just got a good script. And UT didn't go 11-2 this year, just scripted that way.

Not really. Do you think teams beating a highly ranked Tennessee team bolsters tournament resumes? Do you think KY is in the tournament with losses to Tennessee? They absolutely have motive to help other teams at the expense of Tennessee.
