How is Vitello so quickly investigated for tampering, but Lincoln Riley can just openly tamper with no problem at all?

SEC fatigue could be a factor. There are plenty of pundits, regulators, etc. around the country who don't like seeing their football team/conference become a perennial also ran and it may color their perception of SEC sports programs in general. People don't have to be actively corrupt to develop bias in their opinions of who's cheating and who's not.

I don't see why it couldn't be at that scale. It's a gimmick hotel... Like those places where your room is underwater.

I can't see them building a full size Best Western that is only financially viable three months out of the year. Seriously, who is gonna stay at the Neyland suites in April, lol.

If they'd build it high enough for the top suites to overlook the field, I could see some opposing coaches vacationing there when the team is practicing in Neyland.

Fair enough. I just haven’t seen it because the last time we had a coach who was good get in trouble, Twitter hardly existed and I was 14 years old.
Rick Barnes did just a few years ago.

Heupel's staff had one as well.

Also remember all the "wE'rE goNnA bE BanNed FrOm The PoStSeASon And GivEN tHe DeaTh PenAlTY iF wE CoOpEraTe" folks during the thick of the Pruitt scandal saying we should flip double Gauldens and hide like petulent children.

Thank god for our (professional adult) leaders that live in the real world.

Barnes to UCLA? I don’t remember anything else to do with him.

And yeah, but that was mostly pruitt’s wrong doing and he sucked lol. I’m just trying to think of a coach everyone hated because he was good getting in trouble, and Pearl is the last one that came to mind.

He had a violation back 4 or 5 years ago. Heupel's was in the past year.

Honestly the only reason this is going bigger is because his "peers" ratted him out. Corbin, etc. bout to get their own version of "stitches". Tony V. gonna be on the revenge circuit using espionage and all 🤣

Pearl flashbacks are hitting me hard with this one. But we all know I’m neurotic and pessimistic to my core. Hopefully I’m as wrong about this as I was about his job prospects a couple years ago.
Look at this way - we've already come clean and cooperated. The ONLY reason Pearl wasn't the coach after that (outside of UT admin being shortsighted weenies and letting him go, rather than looking at the long-term) is because BP did the opposite and lied straight to their faces.

I mean...you can commit a crime and get a slap ont the wrist. But if you commit perjury...

True true. Just similar circumstances iirc. Pearl news came out of nowhere and was suspended 8(?) games right off the bat and was told he’d return after that.

Situation was downplayed from there. He did return from that suspension only to get fired at seasons end.

Blindsided all of us.

Black eye - the classic indicator of conflict. The world's oldest, perhaps.
Two losses - clearly because of some larger distraction
"Tampering" - excuse, red herring
Suspension - the start of something serious

Folks, this has all the hallmarks of the classic Scandal. This could be something BIG.
😆😅🤣😂

It's science.

So what did kamara do that was so horrible? All I saw him do in the video was punch a guy that was pulling him down a couple times. I’m sure I’m missing something.
