People definitely dont laugh like they used too.

But, humor hs changed a lot also. Audiences dont laugh at same stuff. Everyone has to be shocking or offensive.

Honestly why I love Gaffigan so much. Guy is just funny.

Not so sure laughing at ourselves is the cure all. Each child is very unique. But, I definitely dont see coddling as the answer. And right there is the reason there's so much puddin' in the world.
Listened to a really interesting interview on Sirius the other day beteeen Conan and a stand-up comedian about how both clean and "positive/upbeat" comedy had made such a big comeback in the last decade or more. After decades of people trying to be like Pryor, Carlin, Murphy, which are obviously all great, but had a certain style and...vernacular.

It was interesting, but made me realize how many great comedians recently are that way. Gaffigan, Regan, Bargatze, Slay, etc are quite clean. And many others that are positive/upbeat, rather than just "I hate this" style, though maybe not clean verbally, some even downright vulgar, but coming from a positive perspective of what makes them happy. Just a general shift in comedic direction.

I think humor has always been offensive if you think that way. Good comedy hides kernels of truths in caricatures. People have lost the ability to laugh at themselves.

I’m a girls dad and I feel that we worry too much about jokes and words in general… I focus more on teaching my daughters to be mentally and physically strong…. The Norm joke has some truth to it since even women don’t support the WNBA… They would rather support the Kardashians or reality love shows.
My wife and daughters laugh harder than I do at Norm jokes. Kind of like me. I laughed at a lot of Chris Rock and Dave Chapelle telling funny "White People" jokes.

Speaking of Dave, he caught hell over his WNBA stuff.

I watched the YTTV multiview last night with 3 games before ours started. It was pretty slick. It's not a new technology, but I like how you can move around the grid to hear the sound for each one. My only request to improve it would be that, when you select one to make it full screen, have a command on the screen/menu that will let you go directly back to multiview.

Truth is not welcome in Wokeland

Just catching up on the Vols baseball score. If it holds, they will have four losses, to the four best teams they've played. I think it's safe to formally conclude they are not as good as they were last year and that they might have been a tick overrated in the preseason poll, just as Vitello suggested.

That said, still a good, talented team. Just need time to develop.

5 to 0 MO, heading to 4th.

We are definitely not the same team we were a year ago... good, but not great. My guess is we land around 12-15th by the end of the season unless we turn the corner -- tough away games at LSU and Arky... Media and opposing fanbases gonna drag us because we dished it out last season... Put your cups on and get ready.

guess it’s a good thing I’m banned from Twitter for a week. I couldn’t stand to see the arkansas and Vandy clowns come after us after this one

I’d put ‘em 20-25, maybe just outside the poll
