Listened to a really interesting interview on Sirius the other day beteeen Conan and a stand-up comedian about how both clean and "positive/upbeat" comedy had made such a big comeback in the last decade or more. After decades of people trying to be like Pryor, Carlin, Murphy, which are obviously all great, but had a certain style and...vernacular.People definitely dont laugh like they used too.
But, humor hs changed a lot also. Audiences dont laugh at same stuff. Everyone has to be shocking or offensive.
Honestly why I love Gaffigan so much. Guy is just funny.
Not so sure laughing at ourselves is the cure all. Each child is very unique. But, I definitely dont see coddling as the answer. And right there is the reason there's so much puddin' in the world.
I think humor has always been offensive if you think that way. Good comedy hides kernels of truths in caricatures. People have lost the ability to laugh at themselves.People definitely dont laugh like they used too.

My wife and daughters laugh harder than I do at Norm jokes. Kind of like me. I laughed at a lot of Chris Rock and Dave Chapelle telling funny "White People" jokes.I’m a girls dad and I feel that we worry too much about jokes and words in general… I focus more on teaching my daughters to be mentally and physically strong…. The Norm joke has some truth to it since even women don’t support the WNBA… They would rather support the Kardashians or reality love shows.

5 to 0 MO, heading to 4th.
I’d put ‘em 20-25, maybe just outside the pollJust catching up on the Vols baseball score. If it holds, they will have four losses, to the four best teams they've played. I think it's safe to formally conclude they are not as good as they were last year and that they might have been a tick overrated in the preseason poll, just as Vitello suggested.
That said, still a good, talented team. Just need time to develop.
